Marking the halfway point in its commitment to present all 10 plays of August Wilson's American Century Cycle, Two River Theater announces the complete cast and creative team for its production of Wilson's "exhilarating" (The New York Times) and incendiary drama King Hedley II, directed by Brandon J. Dirden. For the first time, the theater will be presenting one of Wilson's plays in its intimate 110-seat Marion Huber Theater, with performances beginning on November 10 and continuing for an extended five-week run through Sunday, December 16. American Repertory Theater (A.R.T) announces that Tony Award winner Patina Miller will appear November 16, 17, and 18 as the featured guest in ExtraOrdinary, a celebration of musical theater at the A.R.T.

The critically acclaimed theatre company, Mason Holdings, will premiere their new site-specific production of Consumption, at the Beverly Social Club in Kensington Brooklyn. The limited engagement runs November 9 - December 8.

The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the world premiere of SOCRATES, written by acclaimed actor, director, and writer Tim Blake Nelson. Directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes, the powerful new play will begin with a Free First Preview performance on Tuesday, April 2 and run through Sunday, May 19 with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 16.

Jacob G. Padron, 38, has been named the new Artistic Director of Long Wharf Theatre and will begin his role February 1, 2019.

Complete casting has been announced for a reading of Joe Gulla's "REEL WOOD". Hosted by the Village Playwrights, the reading will take place at NYC's Studio 353 on Thursday, November 8th.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

Lookingglass Theatre Company announces casting for the world premiere of The Steadfast Tin Soldier: A Christmas Pantomime, from the story by Hans Christian Andersen, conceived and directed by Ensemble Member Mary Zimmerman. This family-friendly, holiday show runs November 7, 2018 - January 13, 2019 at Lookingglass Theatre Company, located inside Chicago's historic Water Tower Water Works, 821 N. The Public Theater announced complete casting today for the world premiere of EVE'S SONG, written by The Public's Emerging Writers Group alum and 2017-18 Tow Playwright-in-Residence, Patricia Ione Lloyd.

On Monday, November 5, 2018, The Ziegfeld Club Inc, one of New York City's first performing arts charities to benefit women presented it's annual grants during a private ceremony held at the historic New Amsterdam Theater.
