Tickets are now on sale for The Dare Tactic's annual Kick Off Benefit. The celebration will take place Today December 7th, 2018 at 7pm at WOW Cafe Theater, 59-61 E. 4th Street. $22 tickets, which include one drink ticket and light hors d'oeuvres, are available online at thedaretactic.org and at the door. The event hosted by Maggie Metnick will introduce The Dare Tactic's 5th season, the artists involved, and feature performances from the upcoming season.

First Nations Dialogues Lenapehoking/New York is an initiative that provides unprecedented exposure and a focus on Indigenous performing arts and artists based in Canada, the U.S., and Australia in partnership with multiple contemporary live performance platforms across New York City, January 5–12, 2019. First Nations Dialogues also kick-starts the development of the groundbreaking Global First Nations Performance Network (GFNPN), a pilot initiative focused on cultural change through the commissiong, touring, and presenting of Indigenous performance and building demand and capacity for the same within the presenting sector.
Casting Announced For B At WET, Guillermo Calderón's Stunning Surrealist Political Thriller

Washington Ensemble Theatre has announced the cast of the North American Premiere of B, the sharp and surrealist political thriller by Chilean playwright Guillermo Calderon, which is now in rehearsals. B, which is the second of three mainstage productions in WET's 15th Anniversary Season, features an ensemble cast of four incredible Seattle actors: WET member Sophie Franco (Intiman Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company) as Alejandra, Craig Peterson (Seattle Shakespeare Company, Pony World) as Jose Miguel, Klarissa Marie Robles (Seattle Repertory Theatre, eSe Teatro) as Marcela, and Gregory Award winner Shermona Mitchell (Sound Theatre Company, ACT) as Carmen. Jay O'Leary, who is known for her work as a director at ArtsWest (Skeleton Crew) and Annex Theatre, makes her WET debut to direct.

Kimmel Center Announces Sixth Annual Jazz Residency, Year-long Program With 3 New Artistic Teams

The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts is excited to announce three new Jazz Residency teams for the 2018-19 season: David Allen, Raquel Salas Rivera, and Diane Monroe; Dan Blacksberg with Yosef Goldman; and Dariel Peniazek., Maya Peniazek, and Ariacne Trujillo. Collaborating with the Kimmel Center throughout winter and spring, each team will work to create a new project that is relevant and engaging to the Philadelphia community. In the residency's sixth consecutive year, all three of these new works will focus on how the United States is coming to terms with the question of identity and these artists' struggles to define belonging.

The Lark and Venturous Theater Fund of the Tides Foundation are thrilled to announce that the plays and playwrights selected for the second round of The Lark's Venturous Playwright Fellowship program are: Trigger by Sam Chanse; Passing by Dipika Guha; and Incendiary by Dave Harris. The fellowship supports the advancement of ambitious, risk-taking, and innovative plays by providing concurrent residencies for their authors, and advocating for their production by partner theaters. Fellows each receive an award of $50,000 over two years, as well as a Production Subsidy Grant of up to $50,000 to support a production of the play at a theater of the playwright's choosing. Throughout their two-year fellowships, the playwrights will be in residence at The Lark where they will have access to an individually-tailored lineup of new play development and advocacy resources, including readings, workshops, writers' groups, retreats, career guidance, and community engagement activities, designed to nurture their writing and advance their work into the repertoire.

So-fi (Co-Founders; Jody Christopherson, Nathan Gebhard, Romy Nordlinger) announce the launch of a new curated festival, for low-fi, multi-disciplinary solo performance, co-produced by, and at Torn Page in Chelsea (435 W 22nd Street, 2nd Floor), a performance space in the historic home of Rip Torn and Geraldine Page. The impetus for this festival was to create an opportunity for touring and local artists, who push the boundaries of multiple forms, to be produced affordably in New York. The majority of box office sales from each performance go directly to artists.

GHOSTLIGHT RECORDS has announced the release of Hundred Days, the original cast recording of the critically acclaimed new musical, on CD in stores and online today, Friday, November 30. The unique album was recorded with a live studio audience that captures the excitement and emotion of the original production. It was released in streaming and digital formats earlier this season. Hundred Days features a book by The Bengsons and Sarah Gancher, music and lyrics by The Bengsons, and was directed by Anne Kauffman with movement direction by Sonya Tayeh.
