NOTTINGHAM PLAYHOUSE has unveiled its autumn and winter season for 2018, following rave reviews for its spring and summer line-up.

As per usual The Central New York (CNY) Playhouse is entertaining audiences with a challenging musical - and not just any challenging musical, a Sondheim musical. Into the Woods, daringly directed by Korrie Taylor, is yet one more example of CNY Playhouse's guts. If there's one thing the company doesn't lack, it's having not only the ambition, but also the ability to perform a musical most community theaters wouldn't dare to produce.

Theater at Monmouth's 2018 Family Show is The True Story of Little Red a new adaptation of the Brothers Grimm classic fairy tale. The run starts on Saturday, June 30th, at 1:00 p.m. and continues throughout the season including matinee performances on both weekdays and weekends. This modern-day twist on a century's old classic, traditionally warning us not to trust strangers or to stay on the straight and narrow path, asks modern audiences to consider different points of view in an effort to avoid stereotypes and to better understand people different from ourselves.

The Unicorn announces plans for Autumn and beyond in another bold and eclectic season of work at the UK's leading theatre for young audiences.

Azuka Theatre ends the 2017-2018 season with the world premiere of Mrs. Harrison, by R. Eric Thomas, from May 2 to20, 2018. Mrs.Harrison is the third and final show of the season that celebrated Azuka's commitment to notable Philadelphia playwrights and unique Philadelphia voices. Producing Artistic Director Kevin Glaccum directs this suspenseful dark comedy and drama about two women, one story and their very different memories about their relationship in college. The show runs through May 20, 2018, for a total of 18 performances.  All performances will take place at the Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake, 302 S. Hicks Street. Santa Fe Opera's General Director Charles MacKay and General Director Designate Robert Meya announced today the repertory, principal singers, conductors, directors, and designers for the company's 63rd season in 2019, along with updates to the 2018 season, which opens June 29. Joining MacKay and Meya were Santa Fe Opera Board of Directors President Susan G. Marineau, and Director of Education and Community Programs Andrea Fellows Walters.

The Syracuse University Department of Drama announced the six plays and musicals that will make up the 2018/2019 season. With an emphasis on contemporary work, the season addresses a variety of current issues and concerns as experienced from intimately personal points of view. The season celebrates stories of consequence, while at the same time investigating and challenging the process, implications and impact of storytelling itself.

Celebrate 10 Years of Children's Theater Magic as the Second Street Players Children's Theater celebrates the 10th season with The Frog Prince by Max Bush based on the Olenberg manuscript and various editions of the tale The King's Daughter and the Enchanted Prince by the Brothers Grimm. Shows are Friday May 11th, Saturday May 12th , and Sunday May 13th.

Magic Reality Group, a Miami-based international production company, announced today the world premier of a new and unique production December 7-8, 2018at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. Sleeping Beauty Dreams, a contemporary art exploration of the age-old fable, will feature global prima ballerina Diana Vishneva performing as Princess Aurora and Tony Award nominee Desmond Richardson dancing as Prince Peter.

Deaf West/Broadway Spring Awakening and Big River stars, Amelia Hensley, Alexandria Wailes & Melissa van der Schyff, reunited last week  for this groundbreaking original musical centering on a Deaf heroine, directed by Drama Desk nominee Kim Weild (Fetes De La Nuit, Soot and Spit) with Artistic Sign Language by Alexandria Wailes (Children Of A Lesser God, currently on Broadway).

This May, All Star Productions - Winner of the Best Producer in the Off-West End Awards 2018 - join forces with Trilby Productions to bring their fresh new adaptation of James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's Into the Woods to The Cockpit. Performed in the round, this darkly comic production has been given a 21st century twist with an ensemble of seventeen larger-than-life characters drawn from modern day Britain.

Tacoma Little Theatre presents the dark comedy, The Pillowman, by Martin McDonagh, the Oscar winning author/director of Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri. This production is directed by Blake York.
