Normal Ave Announces NAPseries 2020
 Playwrights And Directors

Normal Ave will launch its 2nd Annual NAPSeries (Normal Ave Playwrights Series) with 29-hour readings of four brand new plays. This year's festival will include Men Accumulate by Peter Kim George, On Trash Monsters by Gillian Beth Durkee, Sarah Sits Shiva for Herself by Megan Pope, and Seven Letter Names by Kristian O'Hare. All readings will take place January 10-12 at Normal Ave's Medicine Show Theatre, located at 549 W 52nd Street, and are free and open to the public.

Independent Writers Lab Announces Reading Series at the Fountain Theatre

American Theatre's brightest young voices are part of the newly formed Independent Writers Lab, which will be hosting a reading series of four new plays at The Fountain Theatre December 3 - 5, 2019. BWW Interview: SALVAGE Playwright Tim Alderson - From Music To Farming & Back

Former music creative and fifth-generation farmer Tim Alderson's first initial foray into playwriting SALVAGE opens Saturday, November 16, 2019 at The Lounge Theatre. With music from his long-time cohorts Mark Heard, Pat Terry, and Randy VanWarmer, SALVAGE revolves around struggling singer-songwriter Harley's decision to pawn his guitar and look for some means of stable income for his wife and soon-to-come newborn. Damian D. Lewis directs the ensemble of David Atkinson, Christopher Fordinal, Nina Herzog and Leonard Earl Howze. Tim was gracious enough to make some time to answer my queries.

Pace University Alumni Receive Fulbright Awards To Study Abroad

Two Pace University alumni are studying abroad after receiving the prestigious Fulbright Award. Gerrard James, an alumnus of the Actors Studio Drama School (ASDS) at Pace, has received a Fulbright Award to study classical acting at Oxford University in London. Sabrina Vasques, an alumna of Pace's College of Health Professions, has been awarded a teaching assistantship in Ecuador.
