ARSENIC AND OLD LACE Returns To East Lynne Theater Company

Murder! Mayhem! Madcap fun! This side-splitting comedy broke all East Lynne Theater Company box office records in 2018, and returns by popular demand. Gingold Theatrical Group's CAESAR AND CLEOPATRA Begins Tonight

Gingold Theatrical Group (David Staller, Artistic Director) begins performances tonight, Tuesday September 3rd, at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues) for this rare revival of Shaw's beloved almost historical comedy Caesar and Cleopatra. This limited Off-Broadway engagement will continue through October 12th only. Opening Night is set for Tuesday September 24th.

The Globe Announces Cast and Creatives Of NOURA

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team of the riveting West Coast premiere of Noura by Heather Raffo (the award-winning 9 Parts of Desire, the opera Fallujah), a graduate of The Old Globe and University of San Diego Shiley Graduate Theatre Program. Loosely inspired by Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, Noura received the prestigious Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Original New Play and the L. Arnold Weissberger New Play Award. Directed by Johanna McKeon (Off Broadway's I Have Loved Strangers and Tokio Confidential), Noura begins performances September 20, 2019 and runs through October 20 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run September 20a?"25. ASF Presents Bedlam's HAMLET And SAINT JOAN

Alabama Shakespeare Festival, in partnership with Bedlam theatre company, presents William Shakespeare's Hamlet and George Bernard Shaw's Saint Joan in repertory on the Octagon Stage beginning September 5 and running through October 6.

Casting Announced For New Line Theatre's 29th Season!

New Line Theatre, "the bad boy of musical theatre," has announced casting for its 29th season of adult, alternative musical theatre, which opens with the return of the wild, comic rock musical CRY-BABY,  based on the iconic John Waters film, a show which New Line first produced in 2012 in its American regional premiere, running Sept. 26-Oct. 19, 2019. The season continues with the electrifying new rock musical fresh from Broadway, in its regional premiere, HEAD OVER HEELS, a high-energy, adult romp about gender and sexuality, based on a 16th-century novel and using the songs of the 80s rock band The Go-Go's, running March 5-28, 2020. And the season closes with the return of one of New Line's biggest hits, which the New Liners first presented in 2007, the pitch dark satire URINETOWN, the hilarious, outrageous fable of greed, corruption, love, revolution, and urination, running June 4-27, 2020.

TOOTSIE, THE FERRYMAN and More Win New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards

The New York Drama Critics' Circle today named The Ferryman by Jez Butterworth best play of the 2018-19 season. The award for best musical went to Tootsie. What the Constitution Means to Me by Heidi Schreck was named best American play. The selections were made at the organization's 84th annual voting meeting.

Florida Rep Raises Over $500,000 At Annual Gala

Florida Repertory Theatre's 2018-2019 Season in downtown Fort Myers is coming to a close in May after a record-breaking 21st year. Artistic Director Greg Longenhagen is pleased to announce that "Million Dollar Quartet" broke all previous box office records with over 14,000 people in attendance, and "Native Gardens" is playing to sold-out houses and an extended late-season run through May 19.

LINDA VISTA Opens At Taper Forum This Wednesday

Currently in previews, the Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of Tracy Letts' "Linda Vista" will open on January 16 at 8 p.m. at Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum. Directed by Dexter Bullard, the production will run through February 17, 2019.
