FRENCH WITHOUT TEARS Announces UK Tour

Following last year's critically acclaimed sold out run, Orange Tree Theatre and English Touring Theatre in association with Exeter Northcott Theatre present French Without Tears, the sparkling comedy by Terence Rattigan.

Kim Rubinstein to Direct A TASTE OF HONEY at Odyssey Theatre

Kim Rubinstein, director of last season's award-winning revival of Anna Christie, returns to the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble at the helm of one of the great defining and taboo-breaking plays of the 1950s. A Taste of Honey is set to open on Sept. 24 starring Eric Hunicutt, Gerard Joseph, Kestrel Leah, Leland Montgomery and Sarah Underwood Saviano.

KENNY MORGAN to Return to the Arcola with Original Cast

Arcola Theatre's production of Kenny Morgan will return for just four weeks this September after a sold-out premiere earlier this year. This critically-acclaimed new play is the latest drama by Mike Poulton (Tony nominated for his Broadway versions of Fortune's Fool, Wolf Hall, and Bring up The Bodies).

Public Sales for UMS's 138th Season Begin Monday, August 15

Monday, August 15 marks the official beginning of ticket sales for individual performances presented as part the 2016-17 University Musical Society (UMS) season. With appearances by internationally renowned orchestras, chamber musicians, dance groups, jazz and global music artists, and theater and dance ensembles, the UMS season spans the complete spectrum of the performing arts. In all, 64 performances by 49 different artists and ensembles will take place in nine venues in Ann Arbor and Detroit, including Hill Auditorium, Rackham Auditorium, the Power Center, Michigan Theater, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the Ann Arbor Skatepark, Arthur Miller Theatre, and Downtown Boxing Gym. 

Jermyn Street Theatre Announces Autumn Season of Work by Classic Writers

Comprising works by two luminaries of twentieth century literature, a giant of European Theatre and one of the great English novelists, the season kicks off with Winnie The Pooh creator, A A Milne's 1921 theatrical work The Dover Road, which runs from September 6 to October 1 and is directed by Nichola McAuliffe. The Dover Road, which was first performed in 1921, is a light- hearted comedy set in a mysterious house just off the Dover Road, inhabited by the enigmatic Mr Latimer. Two runaway couples find themselves enjoying the hospitality of a complete stranger, who seems to have an underlying purpose of his own...

National Theatre Live to Broadcast THREEPENNY OPERA and DEEP BLUE SEA This Fall

National Theatre Live has announced international broadcasts of the Rufus Norris' National Theatre production of The Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, in collaboration with Elisabeth Hauptmann, in a new adaptation by Simon Stephens on Thursday, September 22, 2016; and, Carrie Cracknell's acclaimed National Theatre production of Terence Rattigan's The Deep Blue Sea on Thursday, October 6, 2016.

New Play JESS AND JOE FOREVER To Tour The UK

Zoe Cooper's layered and thoughtful new play about finding your place in the world. Following its run at the Orange Tree it will also tour to 11 venues: Live Theatre Newcastle, Watford Palace, and with house, a project managed by Farnham Maltings, to venues in Havant, Canterbury, Norwich, Sheringham, Colchester, Harlow, Didcot, Petersfield and to Farnham Maltings.

THE GENTRIFICATION CYCLE Set for Hollywood Fringe Festival

?Samovar Subway Ensemble has announced a Hollywood Fringe Festival production of The Gentrification Cycle, two short plays written by G.D. Kimble and directed by Christina Cigala. Jen Tries Vacation and Locomotive Repair in Three Easy Steps will feature (in alphabetical order) Jon Gentry, Emily McLeod, Suzan Mikiel, Adam Tomei, Brian Wallace, Claire Winters, and Allison Youngberg. There will be five performances at the Dorie Theatre @ The Complex in Hollywood - Friday 6/3 at 7:30pm (press preview); Thursday 6/9 at 9pm; Thursday 6/16 at 7pm; Thursday 6/23 at 10:30pm; and Friday 6/24 at 6:45pm. Total running time will be 70 minutes.

Take Five! Spend Your Tea Break with Derek Jacobi

The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company's ROMEO AND JULIET is now playing at the Garrick Theatre, with press night on May 25 and a cinema broadcast on July 7. Joining Richard Madden and Lily James as the titular lovers is revered actor Derek Jacobi as Mercutio. The production is co-directed by Branagh and Rob Ashford, with the broadcast directed by Benjamin Caron.

Major Caryl Churchill and Somerset Maugham Revivals Lead New Orange Tree Theatre Season

The September 2016-February 2017 Orange Tree Theatre season will feature the first major revivals of Caryl Churchill's Blue Heart and Somerset Maugham's last play Sheppey, as well as a new play from Zoe Cooper, the English language premiere of Roland Schimmelpfennig's Winter Solstice, and an Elinor Cook adaptation of children's story Extra Yarn.

Two-Time Olivier Nominee to Star in World Premiere of KENNY MORGAN

February 1949. The tenants of a boarding house in Camden Town, alerted by a smell of gas coming from one of the rooms, discover a young man lying unconscious, and signs of what might be a botched suicide attempt. In an attempt to make contact with the victim's family or friends, they decide to telephone the first person listed in his book of personal telephone numbers. It is the celebrated playwright Terence Rattigan....
