London is never short of theatre temptations, whether splashy West End shows, epic dramas or bold fringe offerings. ?Samovar Subway Ensemble has announced a Hollywood Fringe Festival production of The Gentrification Cycle, two short plays written by G.D. Kimble and directed by Christina Cigala. Jen Tries Vacation and Locomotive Repair in Three Easy Steps will feature (in alphabetical order) Jon Gentry, Emily McLeod, Suzan Mikiel, Adam Tomei, Brian Wallace, Claire Winters, and Allison Youngberg. There will be five performances at the Dorie Theatre @ The Complex in Hollywood - Friday 6/3 at 7:30pm (press preview); Thursday 6/9 at 9pm; Thursday 6/16 at 7pm; Thursday 6/23 at 10:30pm; and Friday 6/24 at 6:45pm. Total running time will be 70 minutes.

Arcola Theatre presents KENNY MORGAN, the World Premiere of a new play by Mike Poulton, directed by Lucy Bailey with designer Robert Innes Hopkins, sound designer Neil McKeown and lighting designer Jack Knowles. The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company's ROMEO AND JULIET is now playing at the Garrick Theatre, with press night on May 25 and a cinema broadcast on July 7. Joining Richard Madden and Lily James as the titular lovers is revered actor Derek Jacobi as Mercutio. The production is co-directed by Branagh and Rob Ashford, with the broadcast directed by Benjamin Caron.

The September 2016-February 2017 Orange Tree Theatre season will feature the first major revivals of Caryl Churchill's Blue Heart and Somerset Maugham's last play Sheppey, as well as a new play from Zoe Cooper, the English language premiere of Roland Schimmelpfennig's Winter Solstice, and an Elinor Cook adaptation of children's story Extra Yarn.

Over the last four decades, the British filmmaker Terence Davies has produced a deeply personal body of work that explores the longing inspired by movie fantasy and the intermingling of memory and history. Coinciding with the U.S. theatrical release of his latest film, Sunset Song, based on the classic Scottish novel by Lewis Grassic Gibbons, about a farming family caught in the aftermath of World War I, Museum of the Moving Image will present a complete retrospective, to date, of the films of Terence Davies from May 7 through 22, 2016. Davies will appear in person at the Museum on two occasions: on May 8 with The Long Day Closes and on May 10 with a preview screening of Sunset Song, accompanied by the film's star Agyness Deyn.

February 1949. The tenants of a boarding house in Camden Town, alerted by a smell of gas coming from one of the rooms, discover a young man lying unconscious, and signs of what might be a botched suicide attempt. In an attempt to make contact with the victim's family or friends, they decide to telephone the first person listed in his book of personal telephone numbers. It is the celebrated playwright Terence Rattigan....

Casting has been announced for George Bernard Shaw's THE PHILANDERER at the Orange Tree Theatre. Rupert Young (High Society at the Old Vic, Sir Leon in BBC's Merlin) plays Leonard Charteris, the philanderer of the title. He's joined by Helen Bradbury, Joe Idris-Roberts, Michael Lumsden, Dorothea Myer-Bennett, Christopher Staines, Mark Tandy and Paksie Vernon.

Following a critically hailed, highly successful extended run of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Rubicon Theatre Company continues the 2015-2016 Season with another American premiere -- eXtras by Sabina Berman.

Marion Bailey will play Mrs. Elton, with Peter T. Sullivan as William Collyer and Tom Burke as Freddie, to McCrory's Hester.

Following a critically hailed, highly successful extended run of The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Rubicon Theatre Company continues the 2015-2016 Season with another American premiere -- eXtras by Sabina Berman.

The critically acclaimed production of Terence Rattigan's epic wartime romance Flare Path, visits Birmingham Repertory Theatre from Monday 25 - Sat 30 April.

The cast has been announced for Brad Birch's new play THE BRINK at Orange Tree Theatre. Alice Haig, Vince Leigh, Shvorne Marks and Ciarán Owens will lead the world premiere, directed by Mel Hillyard as recipient of the J.P. Morgan Emerging Director Award 2015, with designs from Hyemi Shin, and sound design and composition by Tom Gibbons. The show runs April 7-30, and is a co-production between the Orange Tree and W14 Productions, in association with the National Theatre Studio.

Jonathan Church and Alan Finch announce the Chichester Festival Theatre 2016 season - the last under their leadership as Artistic Director and Executive Director. 

New work by Lee Hall, David Hare, Bryony Kimmings, Lucy Kirkwood, Nina Raine, Gillian Slovo and Alexander Zeldin, and contemporary revivals of two of the NT's most celebrated 20th century premieres - Amadeus and Angels in America - are among the forthcoming productions at the National Theatre announced today by Rufus Norris.

The 2016 national tour of Terence Rattigan's FLARE PATH, directed by Justin Audibert, opened on 27 January at the Connaught Theatre in Worthing. Daniel Fraser plays Teddy Graham and Audrey Palmer plasy Mrs Oakes.  Daniel played Gregory Cromwell in the acclaimed RSC productions of Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies in Stratford, London and on Broadway.  He also appeared in Chariots of Fire at Hampstead Theatre and in the West End and starred in the Sci-Fi films Frequencies and Lab Rats and the thriller Scar Tissue.  Check out a first look below!

According to the Daily Mail, stage and screen star Helen McCrory will lead Terence Rattigan's THE DEEP BLUE SEA at the National Theatre. Baz Bamigboye writes that she will play 'Hester' in the production, which will open this June.
