Hammonton New Jersey may boast the title "blueberry capital of the world", but now it owns another title; " First town to host the first New Jersey Fringe Festival".

The 1st Official New Jersey Fringe Festival will take place in Downtown Hammonton from August 5th - August 7th.

Earlier this month, Google, Inc., one of the world's largest internet companies, awarded the Eagle Theatre in Hammonton, NJ more than $100,000 in grant funding. The funds will offset all costs for Google Adwords advertising and were received as part of a new non-profit partnership between the two organizations. Google also sent representatives to the Eagle Theatre, which is located in the Hammonton Art District.
