Broadway In Detroit will present the Detroit engagement of the Tony Award®-nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof at the Fisher Theatre from March 10 - 15, 2020.

Broadway In Chicago has announced that tickets for the North American tour of Lincoln Center Theater's production of Lerner & Loewe's My Fair Lady, directed by Bartlett Sher, will go on sale Friday, January 17. Lerner & Lowe's My Fair Lady will play Broadway In Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph) from March 24 - April 12, 2020.

The North American Tour of Fiddler on the Roof performs at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) February 11 - 16, 2020, starring Israeli theatre, film and TV actor, Yehezkel Lazarov as Tevye.

Broadway in Portland presents the Portland engagement of the Tony Award-nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof at Keller Auditorium from January 7 a?" 12, 2020. The tour launched October 17, 2018 in Syracuse, New York at Landmark Theatre.

Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) 2020 winter-spring season will run from February 6 through the end of June, bringing music to over a dozen venues across the five boroughs of New York City. The season includes two Carnegie Hall subscription series concerts led by Principal Conductor Bernard Labadie; OSL's signature Chamber Music Series with two all-Beethoven programs; a collaboration with New York's MasterVoices in Sheldon Harnick's English language version of Bizet's Carmen; and Music in Color: Eleanor Alberga, OSL's annual five borough free concert tour highlighting the works and lives of classical composers of color.

Lyrics & Lyricists opens its new season with a salute to Yip Harburg, who appeared on the 92nd Street Y stage for L&L's first show in December 1970. Harburg was a master lyricist, poet, and book writer who worked with more than 40 composers in writing over 600 songs, including such classics as 'April in Paris,' 'Old Devil Moon,' 'Lydia, the Tattooed Lady,' 'Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?,' 'Paper Moon,' and, of course, 'Over the Rainbow.' Mikaela Bennett, Clifton Duncan, Desi Oakley, Megan Sikora and Nick Spangler bring Harburg's story to life-from his Lower East Side childhood to being blacklisted by HUAC. Matt Kunkel's direction, with musical direction by Paul Masse and a script by Jon Marans, weaves together Harburg's comedic and political sides.

Today's subject Ted Sperling is very well represented this holiday season here in DC. He is the Musical Director/New Orchestrator for Fiddler on the Roof which plays through December 15th at the National Theatre. Beginning December 17th his work as Musical Supervisor can be heard on My Fair Lady at Kennedy Center. That show runs through Jan 19th.

MasterVoices, led by Artistic Director Ted Sperling, continues its 2019-20 season on January 10 and 11 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College of Criminal Justice with the New York premiere of Iron & Coal, Jeremy Schonfeld's multimedia rock-opera about his family's experience in the Holocaust and its aftermath. Along with MasterVoices, joining Schonfeld onstage will be distinguished theater artist Rinde Eckert, tenor Daniel Rowan, the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, and the New York-based contemporary music ensemble, Contemporaneous.

MasterVoices begins its 2019-20 season on Thursday, November 21 at Carnegie Hall with the concert staging of George and Ira Gershwins' 1933 musical Let 'Em Eat Cake, with a book by George S. Kaufman and Morrie Ryskind, a comic satire about a populist U.S. President who is voted out of office and stages a coup to regain power. Artistic Director Ted Sperling will direct and conduct MasterVoices, soloists, and Orchestra of St. Luke's in this timely musical which has not been heard in New York since 1987. DPAC has announced that the North American tour of Lincoln Center Theater's critically-acclaimed production of Lerner & Loewe's MY FAIR LADY will be a part of SunTrust Broadway's 2019/2020 season. Directed by Bartlett Sher, the North American tour will play DPAC from May 19 a?" 24, 2020.
