Today, Theatre Aspen has announced tickets are on sale for the 2023 Solo Flights Festival featuring works and performances starring Tony Award nominee Bryce Pinkham, HBO's Somebody Somewhere's Jeff Hiller, two-time Tony Award winner Judith Ivey, principal American Ballet Theatre dancer James Whiteside, four-time Academy Award-nominated actress and director Marsha Mason, and  Golden Globe and NAACP Award-winning playwright, actor and director Regina Taylor from September 7-14 at Theatre Aspen's Hurst Theatre.

After Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman had previously confirmed their involvement in the season, Hulu has confirmed to BroadwayWorld that Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are also two of the lyricists who contributed to the series' musical numbers. New York Stage and Film has announced the early-career film and TV writers who have been selected to participate in the 2023 Filmmakers’ Workshop. The participants are Nancy Duff; Harrison Hamm; Drew Harper; Atticus Hoffman; Summera Howell; Anndi Jinelle Liggett; Allyson Morgan; Craig T. Williams; and G. Wilson. 

 Eighteen séances in April, May and June did not do the trick, so award-winning actress/playwright/comedian Nancy Redman will join forces with iconic director Austin Pendleton for 18 more sessions of 'A Séance With Mom' from August 21 to September 3 at Chain Studio Theatre.

What did our critic think of BANDSTAND at Playhouse On Park? The multi-award winning Broadway musical Bandstand has arrived at Playhouse on Park with bells on (That pun is for the horn section.) With music by Richard Oberacker and book and lyrics by Oberacker and Robert Taylor,  Bandstand is set just after the end of World War II. It tells the story about a group of six veterans and a war widow who struggle to cope and find their way back to normal lives. Battling survivor’s guilt, amongst other excruciating mental and physical ailments, they turn to music and form a band with the goal of winning a national song contest.

The hyper-intimate production of Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, staged by rising-star director Jack Serio, will return for a limited run next month. The critically-acclaimed production, which opened on July 6, will run August 8–25, 2023 for 16 performances only in a private loft in the Flatiron District of Manhattan.
