The beloved East Village supper club Pangea, which came perilously close to closing during COVID, is announcing a mixture of ticketed and no-cover entertainment during the summer.  The announcement comes as Pangea earns the prestigious Village Award, presented by Village Preservation at their 31st annual meeting on Wednesday June 16.

Cabaret arch-angel Sidney Myer, who is in the midst of a remarkable career surge since returning to regular performing at Pangea in 2018, will headline Pangea's New Year's Eve festivities in back-to-back shows at 8pm and 10:30pm.  The New Year's Eve edition of a?oeSidney Myer Live!a?? is a new evening of stylish specialties and signature songs, with music direction by Tracy Stark on piano and Matt Scharfglass on bass.  The show piggybacks on Myer's dazzling string of sold-out shows at Pangea, his newfound performance home, where he has sold out four separate engagements, three of which were extended by popular demand.

PANGEA Signature Acts Gather For 1st Winter Alt-Fest

Downtown alternative supper club Pangea -- a leader of the burgeoning alt-cabaret movement -- will showcase some of its most distinguished signature artists in a one-week festival of innovative cabaret art in January. Pangea's Winter Alt-Fest, running from Wednesday January 10 to Tuesday January 16, is programmed by Pangea's booker and co-owner Stephen Shanaghan.

PANGEA Reveals December Lineup

Pangea announced its December lineup! On New Year's Eve, in their first-ever merger of marvelous mayhem, it's Molly Pope & Kim David Smith, cavorting in back-back-shows to ring out 2017 in outr style. Their first ever Champagne-soaked joint escapade, No Thrill from Champagne -- with Tracy Stark on piano -- will definitely swing both ways -- from the glam of yesteryear to the neo-here-and-now It's a merger of one of downtown cabaret's most adventurous performers (Pope) and this generation's Boy from Oz (Smith) (according to the NY Times). Be a part of the sexiest (and most reasonably priced) NYE party in New York -- The evening includes (in both cases) a delicious 3-course dinner, and a half-bottle of Cava per person. Tax and gratuity are inclusive. (Additional beverages are not included, and are billed separately with 18% gratuity added.) Back-to-back shows at 8pm and 10:30pm, Sunday Dec 31.
