Cast Announced for Lynn Nottage's INTIMATE APPAREL at Shakespeare & Company

Shakespeare & Company presents Intimate Apparel, written by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and directed by long-time company member Daniela Varon. This winner of the 2004 Steinberg New Play Award, New York Drama Critics' Circle Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award runs in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre from July 20 through August 13, 2017.

Steve Grand and Tori Scott to Return to Provincetown for 4th of July Week

Producer Mark Cortale is bringing two rising music stars back to The Art House this summer after sold-out debuts last season. Recording artist Steve Grand returns for a summer-long engagement from July 5 - August 31, and cutting edge NYC cabaret star Tori Scott returns this summer for two shows only, on July 8 & 9 - she will also be opening for Bianca Del Rio at Provincetown's Town Hall on July 10th.

Christmas In July: Battle of the Christmas Musicals Announced

On Today, July 1, from 7 pm to 10:30 pm, Brookfield Theatre presents Christmas in July: Battle of the Christmas Musicals. This festive event treats audiences to 45-minute previews of 3 brand new holiday-themed musicals. At the end of the evening, audiences vote for their favorite and the winning show will be performed as a full-length staged reading in December. Come meet the writers, enjoy the shows, and vote for your favorite musical!

The Crossing presents World Premiere of Michael Gordon's Major New Choral Memoir ANONYMOUS MAN

Anonymous Man is Michael Gordon's first concert-length solo choral work. It was commissioned by The Crossing and written for the choir's 24 voices. Gordon merges subtle rhythmic invention with incredible power in his music, embodying, in the words of The New Yorker's Alex Ross, 'the fury of punk rock, the nervous brilliance of free jazz and the intransigence of classical modernism.'

Prospect Theater Company Announces Cast of WORLD VIEWS

Prospect Theater Company, under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director Cara Reichel and Managing Director Melissa Huber, has announced the cast for WORLD VIEWS, a collection of new mini-musicals in concert, the culmination of Prospect's 2017 Musical Theater Lab. WORLD VIEWS, the company's 11th lab performance, will be presented on July 8, 2017 at 8pm at The TimesCenter.

Casting is Set for BECKY SHAW at Windy City Playhouse

Windy City Playhouse (3014 W. Irving Park Road) announces the complete casting for Gina Gionfriddo's "Becky Shaw," the dark, "ferociously funny" (The New York Times) comedy. Jeff Award winner Scott Weinstein directs the final production in Windy City Playhouse's third season, starring Theo Allyn ("The Matchmaker" at Goodman Theatre) in the title role as Becky Shaw.

FIND YOUR WAY HOME (An Irish Musical) Opens in Albany One Night Only NYC 7/25

After opening to rave reviews in Dublin, Ireland, FIND YOUR WAY HOME (An Irish Musical) is making its' American debut. Young Dancemakers Company Comes to the NYC Boroughs This July

Young Dancemakers Company is a unique summer ensemble of ethnically diverse New York City teens, creating and performing their original choreography in free concerts at prominent theaters city-wide, July 26 through August 5th.  YDC will present its 22nd season of topical, bold, and witty dances, created under the experienced eyes of founder and Bessie-award winner Alice Teirstein and music director William Catanzaro.  All performances end with the lively 'Dance With Us,' in which audience members with dancing feet are invited onto the stage to improvise with the dancers, accompanied by percussionist Catanzaro.
