Cast & Creative Team Announced for Michael Arden Directed MAYBE HAPPY ENDING

The Alliance Theatre announced casting today for its upcoming new musical MAYBE HAPPY ENDING. Written in two versions - English-language and Korean-language - the Korean-language version had its world premiere in Seoul, Korea, in 2016, where it won six Korean Musical Awards including the awards for Best Book, Lyrics, and Music. The English-language version was awarded the 2017 Richard Rodgers Production Award and will have its American Premiere at the Alliance Theatre on The Coca-Cola Stage Jan. 21 - Feb. 16, 2020. MAYBE HAPPY ENDING is by Will Aronson (Book & Music) and Hue Park (Book & Lyrics) and is directed by two-time Tony Award® nominee Michael Arden (Once on This Island, Spring Awaking).

The Alliance Theatre has announced the return of its popular holiday production, Courtenay's Cabaret: Home for the Holidays. Following her starring role in the Tony-nominated musical The Prom, Courtenay Collins, will return to the Hertz Stage with her beloved holiday cabaret that includes music, stories, surprises, cookies, and Courtenay's signature charm and good humor.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, announces the recipients of the first round of the 2019 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $509,000, allow 13 productions extra time for the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, hoping to extend the life of the world premiere play after its first run.
