BWW Interview: Jacquelynne Fontaine of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at Orpheum

"majestic!" and "beautiful!" Because of all the references to beauty, I called Jacquelynne Fontaine, who plays Carlotta, and happens to be a former beauty title holder.

Soho Crime Releases THE BISHOP'S WIFE by Mette Ivie Harrison

A Mormon community in Utah is rocked when a young father named Jared Helm announces that his wife has run off on him. Marriage in the Church of Latter Day Saints is an eternal affair, where families are sealed to each other for all time, not just until death “parts” them. Carrie Helm, by all accounts, was not only a good wife and neighbor, but a loving mother as well. But according to Jared, she also suffered from mental illness and drastic mood swings.

The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina has assembled a superb company of triple-threat performers for the Depression-era musical 42ND STREET. Directed by Casey Colgan, the story follows aspiring dancer/singer Peggy Sawyer, a small town girl who comes to New York with big dreams of making it on Broadway. Featuring a repertoire of familiar tunes including 'We're In the Money' and 'Lullaby of Broadway,' along with sensational tap dancing, 42ND STREET is a sparkling concoction just right for the holiday season.
