J. Robert Spencer (Tony nominee "Next to Normal," original Broadway company "Jersey Boys") is set to play the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, in the world-premiere 2014 New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) production of BAYONETS OF ANGST - an original musical comedy set to a bluegrass soundtrack and narrated by the last remaining veterans of the American Civil War - Book by Rick Kunzi & Justin Zeppa, Music by Rick Kunzi & Adam Barnosky, Lyrics by Rick Kunzi, and Directed by Michael Lluberes. General Management Team for BAYONETS OF ANGST is Suellen Vance and Good People Management Group.

New Musical GOD'S COUNTRY to Open 7/18 at NYMF

God's Country, an original musical by Erik Johnke (Book and Lyrics) and Elaine Chelton (Music) set in 19th Century New York City, will be presented at the 10th Annual New York Music Theatre Festival (NYMF) for five performances starting on Thursday, July 18, at 9:00 PM, at The Pershing Square Signature Center Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre, 480 West 42nd Street. The musical is directed by Craig J. George and choreographed by Thomas-Sabella Mills. The Music Director is Bryan L. Wade.

Central Avenue Breakdown runs tonight, July 19th at 8:00pm, July 20th at 5:00pm and 9:00pm, July 21st at 1:00pm, July 22nd at 5:00 pm and 9:00pm at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 W. 42nd Street).

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) has announced the full slate of 34 musical productions and special events for its ninth annual festival. This year's Festival will begin July 9th and continue through July 29th. An additional slate of free events, including 12 staged readings and several educational panel discussions, will be announced shortly.

CENTRAL AVENUE BREAKDOWN to Host Opening Night Talkback

Central Avenue Breakdown will celebrate its World Premiere at the at the 2011 New York Musical Theatre Festival with a Post-Show Talk-Back with Sonny Simmons, following the Monday, October 10 performance. Central Avenue Breakdown features music & lyrics by Kevin Ray, book by Kevin Ray & Josh Sohn with additional Story by Suellen Vance. The opening night talk back is co-sponsored by The Jazz Foundation of America.
