The contemporary cultural swamp of casual dating may be blurring the lines and making traditional dating and marriage 'countercultural.' Singles of all ages may be wondering what's wrong with them and why it's so hard to meet, date and marry. 'The Dating Project' explores the challenges and solutions for single people who seek committed relationships and marriage, as it follows Boston College professor and dating expert, Kerry Cronin, and several students through a semester in her class on the topic.

Fathom Events, BY Experience and National Theatre Live have a full line-up of top London stage productions set for U.S. cinema audiences in early 2018. Newly added titles include director Nicholas Hytner's Bridge Theatre production of 'Julius Caesar' (March 22) and Rory Kinnear's return to the National Theatre stage as the title role in 'Macbeth' (May 17). These two titles are in addition to Tennessee Williams' 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof' (February 22), captured live from London's West End, and the fastest-selling show in London theatre history -- and most-watched NT Live broadcast -- 'Hamlet' (March 8).
A Red Orchid Extends TRAITOR Due To Overwhelming Demand

A Red Orchid Theatre announces the extension of Traitor, an adaptation of Heinrich Ibsen's An Enemy of the People, written by Ensemble Member Brett Neveu and directed by Ensemble Member Michael Shannon, due to overwhelming demand. The production features Ensemble Members Dado, Kirsten Fitzgerald, Larry Grimm, Guy Van Swearingen and Natalie West, with Jacob Alexander, Mary Jo Bolduc, Missi Davis, Kristin Ellis, Nation Henrickson, Frank Nall and Steve Walker, featuring lighting design by Ensemble Member Mike Durst. Traitor will add Wednesday evening performances in February and now runs through March 4, 2018. 2018 at A Red Orchid Theatre, 1531 N. Wells. Tickets for the extension are on sale now.

North Texas Theatres Convene Artists Town Hall with Laura T. Fisher

In an effort to do better, and in response to the recent thoughtful discussion that has taken place specifically regarding inappropriate conduct in the North Texas theatre community, Theatre Communications Group (TCG) Member Theatres of North Texas have worked together to convene an Artist Town Hall about developing a theatre code of standards. The Town Hall will be moderated by TheaterJones Editor Mark Lowry, with Laura T. Fisher, Coordinator of Chicago Theatre Standards leading the discussion.
