The Grove Theatre announces the opening of 'Deathtroupe', an original play
by Mary Willard, author of 'Moonshine', 'Occasional Sin', and 'Elvis and Juliet'. 'Deathtroupe' is a comedy with blood-curdling screams, a murderer by the name of ‘The Chopper' running loose, grilled cheese sandwiches, Jell-o, and Captain Morgan.

Steve Julian, host of KPCC's Morning Edition, will lead an audience talkback on the subject of spousal abuse following the June 26 performance of Wendy Graf's play, Behind the Gates. A former police officer, Mr. Julian wrote the domestic violence policy for the Baldwin Park Police Department in 1987, when California codified new laws prohibiting spousal abuse.
