Grove Theatre Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Closes 12/12

The Grove Theatre invites you to plan your holiday outings At The Grove Theatre.

This is the final weekend of a "A Christmas Carol", featuring Duane Thomas as the Ghost of Christmas Present, KPCC 89.33 Morning Host Steve Julian as Jacob Marley, and Frank Minano as Scrooge. Performances are Friday at 7:29 pm, Saturday at 2:00 pm and 7:29 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm. A cast of 50 includes many Grove favorites.  Don't miss this wonderful Christmas classic. (Tickets $25, $20).

Sunday evening, the famous Fred Willard returns to The Grove in AN EVENING OF FUN with the improvisational sketch comedy group, the MoHos. "I Saw MoHos Kissing Santa Claus" is on Sunday, December 12th at 7:00 pm. 

Fred performed At The Grove in "Moonshine" and "Elvis and Juliet", both written by his wife Mary Willard, who directs "I Saw MoHos Kissing Santa Claus".  Jay Leno, host of the "Tonight Show", where Fred has performed close to 100 times, calls Fred "The funniest man in the world."

Fred was seen on "Everybody Loves Raymond" as Amy's Dad and Robert's father-in-law, and was nominated three consecutive years for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series. He's also recently been nominated for an Emmy for his work on "Modern Family". Some of his most recent popular movies include the Christopher Guest movies and WALL-E.  (Tickets $20). 

On Friday, December 17th, at 7:00 pm, the Diva of the Talk shows is back.... in "Let's Talk
Church" ... at Christmas.  "Let's Talk Church" is centered on problems and issues that take place in the church. The setting takes place in Hollywood as a "Live" taping. Yes, Oprah has gone off the air, and Mary "Liz" Paige is the new DIVA of Talk Shows, she cleans, sings, directs, and acts. After the opening monologue, various guests are interviewed, and the favorites are back:  Dr. O. Phila,  Deacon Delicious, Ms. Schizo, Rejoceki, The Lark Sisters, and the CEO of The New Church Channels (has spiritual turret syndrome). In the final scene, the cast sings a medley of Christmas Carols. This play promises to bring laughter and joy to the entire family. (Tickets $25, $20).

"Home for the Holidays", the fifteenth annual Dale and Bill Christmas Concert At the Grove Theatre, will be held on December 19th at 2:00 pm. This exciting, fun-filled concert features Dale Kristien who starred as Christine in "Phantom of the Opera", and Bill Hutton, the original Joseph in "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" on Broadway. They are accompanied by Mary Ekler at the keyboard and joined by a group of some of the Grove's favorite performers on several of the songs. The afternoon is filled with holiday favorites and even includes some audience participation. Sherry Kinison is featured on several of the songs, and Santa (Isaac Keith Swann) pays a visit and invites the children in the audience to join him. (Tickets $30, $25).
