Lisa Bostnar And Gus Kaikkonen To Read Famous Love Letters

Award-winning actors Lisa Bostnar and Gus Kaikkonen will perform readings of famous love letters as part of a dinner and theatre package being offered by Sunflowers Café and the River Street Theatre (RST) in Jaffrey on Monday, February 13th.

The Valentine Day's Eve program is produced by Entreés & Encores, a local arts organization that has presented several of these dinner and readings packages at area restaurants since 2014.

The event starts at 5:30pm at the Sunflowers Café in downtown Jaffrey. Guests choose from a specially selected Valentine's Eve dinner menu. At 6:30pm, diners walk around the corner to the new River Street Theatre (a project of The Park Theatre) where they enjoy their dessert plus coffee and tea. At 7pm Ms. Bostnar and Mr. Kaikkonen take the stage and will read a selection of some of the most famous and infamous love letters from writers, actors, politicians, artists and other people of note. The letters range from the 16th century until now. Authors include Winston Churchill, Henry VIII, Albert Einstein, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Robert Browning, AbiGail Adams, George Bernard Shaw and Marilyn Monroe.

There is only one "dinner & show" on Monday, February 13th at 5:30pm. Tickets are $45 and include meal, tax, tip and a ticket to the private performance. Alcohol is extra. Due to the intimate size of the River Street Theatre, it is highly recommended tickets are purchased in advance.
