This weekend, ABC-7 will air a half-hour special on the best of the new Broadway season, including AN EVENING WITH PATTI LUPONE AND MANDY PATINKIN, HUGH JACKMAN ON BROADWAY, MAN AND BOY, PRIVATE LIVES, RELATIVELY SPEAKING and VENUS IN FUR. The world premiere of three one-act comedies, together entitled RELATIVELY SPEAKING, about mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, parents and children, written by four-time Oscar winner Ethan Coen (True Grit, Fargo), two-time Oscar nominee Elaine May (Heaven Can Wait, The Birdcage) and Woody Allen (Midnight in Paris), is currently in previews at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

Tune in to NY-1's 'On Stage' on Saturday, September 24 at 9:30 AM or 7:30 PM EST to watch the cast of RELATIVELY SPEAKING and director John Turturro give viewers a sneak peek at the three new one-act comedies by Ethan Coen, Elaine May and Woody Allen. 'On Stage' re-airs on Sunday, September 25 at 9:30 AM and 7:30 PM, as well as Monday, September 26 at 9:30 PM and Tuesday, September 27 at 12:30 AM.

BASE Entertainment (Co-CEO's Scott Zeiger and Brian Becker) announced that DINER, a new musical inspired by the critically acclaimed 1982 film, will come to Broadway in the fall of 2012. With a book by Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Barry Levinson and music & lyrics by Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, DINER will be directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall. DINER marks the Broadway debut of both Barry Levinson and Sheryl Crow. Prior to its Broadway bow, DINER will play a limited out of town engagement in a city TBD in the summer of 2012. Design team and casting will be announced at a later date.
