BASE Entertainment (Co-CEOs Scott Zeiger and Brian Becker) announced today that the new musical DINER has postponed its previously announced pre-Broadway engagement scheduled to play San Francisco's SHN Curran Theatre from Tuesday, October 23, 2012, through Sunday, November 18, 2012, to retool the production for a more intimate Broadway venue.

Bullet for Adolf, a new comedy by Woody Harrelson and Frankie Hyman, will receive its American premiere this summer. Directed by Harrelson-Academy Award nominee for The Messenger and The People vs. Larry Flynt-the show begins performances on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street), with an official Opening Night set for Wednesday, August 8, 2012. The production is scheduled to play through Sunday, September 9, 2012. The first 3D independent film from Chicago, I Heart Shakey, a heart-warming must-see comedy for kids and families to enjoy together directed by Kevin Cooper and produced by DeAnna Cooper and Taejung Lee, will debut via video-on-demand today, June 15 and will release in selected theaters on June 29. I Heart Shakey soundtrack features an eclectic gathering of musicians from chart topping to Emmy winning: The Plain White T's with hit song "Rhythm of Love". Yesterday, May 24, Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein hosted a special Birthday party on to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Little / Helen Hayes Theatre, which opened on March 12, 1912 with John Galsworthy's play The Pigeon. On June 10, 2012, The Actor's Fund will present its 16th Annual Tony Awards party at the Skirball Center, this year honoring Jason Alexander with the Julie Harris Award for Lifetime Achievement.. Scott Bakula will host the gala and this year's Honorary Celebrity Committee includes: Julie Bowen, Nancy Dussault, Dann Florek, Elliott Gould, Steve Guttenberg, Garry Marshall, Chita Rivera, Susan Sarandon, Holland Taylor and Zachary Quinto. The event includes cocktails and a silent auction followed by ainner and a live telecast of a live feed of the Tony Awards as they happen in New York.

The Off-Broadway League today announced the confirmed performers for the 2012 Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. Additionally, the remaining tickets to the show have been released for sale to the public at a discounted rate of $35 each. The 27th Annual Lucille Lortel Awards will be handed out this Sunday, May 6, 2012 at NYU Skirball Center, beginning at 7:00pm EST, in a ceremony that will once again benefit the Actors Fund.

Earlier this morning, stage and screen stars Kristin Chenoweth & Jim Parsons announced this year's Tony nominees from the New York Public Library. In a season as rich as this past theatrical season though, there are only so many spots for nominees and some very talented shows and performers were not nominated. Below are the eligible performers and shows who were not nominatined in the major categories.

BASE Entertainment has just announced that DINER, a new musical based on the critically acclaimed 1982 film with a book by Academy Award winner and original DINER screenwriter Barry Levinson and music & lyrics by 9-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow, will have its pre-Broadway world premiere at San Francisco's SHN Curran Theatre (445 Geary Street). Directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall, DINER will play a strictly limited four week engagement from Tuesday, October 23, 2012, through Sunday, November 18, 2012, with an opening night of Friday, November 2, 2012. Due to these confirmed San Francisco dates DINER will now bow on Broadway in the spring of 2013, instead of the fall of 2012 as previously announced. Design team and casting will be announced at a later date.

SHN today announced the complete five-show 2012-2013 Season under the direction of Carole Shorenstein Hays. Productions joining the previously announced engagement of 2011 Tony Award-Winning Best Musical - THE BOOK OF MORMON are: the pre-Broadway world premiere of DINER, Disney's THE LION KING, the Tony Award-winning revival of ANYTHING GOES and Bay Area favorite WICKED.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts announced a cast change in the upcoming production of FOREVER TANGO. Dancer Anna Trebunskaya, a regular on the popular TV series Dancing With the Stars, is replacing the previously announced Cheryl Burke. The Tony® nominated hit and recurring National PBS special will be presented at 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, in the Kravis Center's Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. Concert Hall.

RELATIVELY SPEAKING, three one-act comedies by the prolific writing trio of Ethan Coen, Elaine May and Woody Allen and directed by John Turturro, will play its final performance on Sunday, January 29, 2012 following a total of 153 performances including 35 previews and 118 regular performances.
