Casting is complete for SUMMER SHORTS 2018, produced by Throughline Artists (J.J. Kandel, Producing Artistic Director) at 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director). SUMMER SHORTS 2018 begins on July 20 and runs through September 1. Two series featuring three one-act plays in each will play in rotating repertory Tuesday - Friday at 7:15 PM; Saturday & Sunday at 2:15 PM and 7:15 PM. Please note, there are no matinee performances on Saturday, July 21, Sunday, July 22, or Saturday, July 28.

Uncle Function, one of New York City's premier sketch comedy troupes, will introduce a series of brand new sketches at their upcoming special edition comedy show Uncle Function at The Peoples Improv Theater - 123 East 24th St., Manhattan. They will be joined by Emmy Nominee Stephen Guarino (Eastsiders), best known for his roles as Derrick in ABC's Happy Endings and Sully on ShowTime's I'm Dying Up Here.

CBS today announced the 21 performers participating in the 2018 CBS DIVERSITY COMEDY SHOWCASE which will begin its run of six shows on Jan. 23 at the El Portal Theatre in Los Angeles.

CBS today announced the co-directors and the head writers for the 2018 CBS DIVERSITY COMEDY SHOWCASE. Grace Parra ( The Nightly Show ) and Stephen Guarino (I'M DYING UP HERE) will co-direct with Nahreen Tarzi and Chris Eckert serving as the head writers. All four are previous participants of the CBS showcase.

SHOWTIME has announced the airdates for its two highly-anticipated new series GUERRILLA and I'M DYING UP HERE.

 Film and television star Jake Lacy has joined the ensemble cast of the new SHOWTIME one-hour comedy series I'M DYING UP HERE in a series regular role. Lacy will play a stand-up comic who gained some notoriety a few years back by blowing off The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson on the night he was scheduled to appear.
