Theater Resources Unlimited will establish a new TRU scholarship fund at its annual TRU Love Benefit this November 4th at Caroline's on Broadway. Honorees at the benefit this year will be Baayork Lee and the National Asian Artists Project (NAAP) receiving the TRU Spirit of Theater Award, and John Chatterton and the Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) receiving the TRU Entrepreneur Award. The scholarship fund will be open to any candidates demonstrating financial need, and will include annual worthy candidates submitted by both NAAP and MITF.

Razorhurst, a new musical commissioned by Luna Stage, will begin performances February 1 and run through March 4, as the second show in Luna's 25th anniversary season. The show is directed by Luna's Artistic Director Cheryl Katz with book and lyrics by Kate Mulley and music composed by Andy Peterson. The two person cast features Catherine Fries Vaughn as Kate Leigh and Claire McClanahan Tilly Devine, both are New Jersey based performers.

New York Theatre Barn will present the 12th Anniversary Reunion Concert of Stephen Dolginoff's hit musical Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story on Monday, August 28, 2017 at The Cell. Drama Desk nominee Stephen Dolginoff and Doug Kreeger (Les Miserables, Rooms) will reunite as Leopold & Loeb in the musical thriller, having co-starred together in the original 2005 Off-Broadway production and on the cast album. The concert will be a benefit for New York Theatre Barn, the company that helped launch Dolginoff's new musical Monster Makers. New York Theatre Barn's artistic director Joe Barros (Cagney, Gigi) directs, with Zachary Orts at the piano.
