The Bible's most notorious traitor is put on trial in a present-day urban courtroom in a darkly funny look at the meaning of redemption by playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis. Director Josh T. Ryan (Zombie Joe's Underground) takes the reins, upping the ante to create a lean, complex and gritty revival at the Hudson Mainstage, opening tonight, July 19.

Saatchi featured POP artist Annie Terrazzo has come on board to help shape Breedlove Productions' The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot, opening at the Hudson Backstage Theatre in Hollywood on July 19.

Distinguished by more than 45 awards and nominations - including the Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Theatre World awards - Gypsy has been revived on Broadway four times. Gypsy was inspired by the memoirs of the legendary burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee. This gripping story follows the ultimate stage mother, determined to catapult her daughters to stardom in the waning 1920s vaudeville circuit. It's filled with Styne and Sondheim's popular standards, including 'Everything's Coming up Roses,' 'Small World,' 'Let Me Entertain You,' 'All I Need Is the Girl,' and 'Rose's Turn.'

The Ojai Playwrights Conference (OPC), one of the most acclaimed new play developmental programs in the country, announces its 16th season with an extraordinary program of playwrights, new play workshops and special performance events from August 7 through 11, in Ojai, California. The OPC Summer New Works Festival will feature eleven events over five days with established and up-and-coming playwrights. Participating in this year's conference with new works are Luis Alfaro, Lucy Alibar, Richard Cabral, Samuel D. Hunter, Sean Lewis, Jiehae Park, Laura Schellhardt and David Wiener.

To mark the the 20th Anniversary of both Word for Word and Z Space, the Word for Word Charter Members present 'In Friendship: Stories by Zona Gale', opening with a press night on Saturday August 17, 8pm and running through September 8 (previews August 14 -16) at Z Space's new second venue, Z Below, at 470 Florida Street.

Waterwell announces that Smokey Joe's Cafe conceiver, director-choreographer Otis Sallid, and musician Aaron Jones will create a new musical based on The Pied Piper for their summer program. They join the previously announced Kyra Sedgwick ("The Closer"), Bobby Cannavale("Boardwalk Empire"), Stephen Adly Guirgis (Tony Nominee, The Mother****** with the Hat), Megan Hilty ("Smash"), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights) and Beau Willimon ("House of Cards") who serve as Master Class Artists for the company's inaugural Summer Theater Lab. Casey McClellen and Kyle Pleasant also join the faculty.

Atlantic Theater Company has announced four of its 2013-2014 season productions, featuring world premiere plays from Academy Award-winning film maker Ethan Coen and Tony Award nominated playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis, the American premiere of Roy Williams' stage adaptation of a classic Alan Sillitoe story and a revival of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill's musical The Threepenny Opera staged by acclaimed director and choreographer Martha Clarke.

The Judas Redux team just announced casting and ticket information for its new production of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis, directed by Julia Albain. The Last Days of Judas Iscariot will be presented at Stage 773, 1225 West Belmont in Chicago, for 18 performances, August 23 - September 8, 2013. Waterwell announces the addition of Kyra Sedgwick, Bobby Cannavale and Stephen Adly Guirgis to its roster of Master Class Artist's for the company's inaugural Summer Theater Lab. They join the previously announced Megan Hilty (Smash), Lin-Manuel Miranda (In the Heights) and Beau Willimon (House of Cards). Faculty and commissioned artists will be announced shortly.

VS. THEATRE COMPANY has announced its first production in its permanent new theatre, COPS AND FRIENDS OF COPS, written and directed by Ron Klier. COPS AND FRIENDS OF COPS will preview tonight, April 24 & Thursday, April 25 at 8pm and will open on Friday, April 26 at 8pm and run through Saturday, June 1 at the new home of VS. Theatre Company (the former Black Dahlia Theatre), 5453 W. Pico Blvd. in Los Angeles.
