The Theatre School at DePaul University has announced the 2013-2014 season. Founded as the Goodman School of Drama in 1925, The Theatre School presents public programming as a professional extension of the classroom. Under the leadership of an award-winning faculty and staff, theatre artists from all disciplines collaborate during their final years of training to create a full and diverse season of programming.

"Other Desert Cities," the Broadway triumph by Jon Robin Baitz about one family's moving struggle with the challenges and the cost of recasting the truth in the name of love, will be the first play in the Hampton Theatre Company's 29th season, opening on October 24 for a three-week run in Quogue.

Non-profit theatre company Road Less Traveled Productions is inviting Western New York to enjoy a special night of performance and culture in the heart of Buffalo's Theatre District. On Saturday, November 16th, 2013, RLTP will host a 10th Anniversary Gala in celebration of its achievements to date. The black-tie event will offer attendees a full evening of entertainment, featuring dinner at Buffalo's historic Saturn Club on Delaware Avenue, a performance of Clybourne Park at 710 Main Theatre, and a post-performance cocktail reception with RLTP's 2013 American Theatre Master and 2013 Tony Award Winner Pam MacKinnon at the Saturn Club.

The music of legendary Asian rock group, Ming Dynasty, is revived in The Sister Rosettas, presented by terraNOVA Collective tonight, September 13th and September 20th & 27th at 9:30 at IRT Theater. Featuring Diana Oh.

During the 2013/14 season, Round House Theatre will host 'In Residence' performances by acclaimed DC area companies Forum Theatre, Happenstance Theater, and dog & pony dc at its black box space in downtown Silver Spring. In addition, RHT Silver Spring will be the site of Round House's 12th annual Sarah Metzger Memorial Play.

Forum Theatre's 10th Anniversary Season has begun! The 2013-2014 season will features two world premieres, two regional premieres, and the return of an acclaimed Forum production. For the fifth year in a row, Forum will be in residence at Round House Theatre Silver Spring.

Is there a twelve step program to creating a perfect comedy? I don't know, but if there is, writer Stephen Adly Guirgis and Austin's Capital T Theatre have found it. The Motherf**ker with the Hat is a hysterical, riotous comedy that, despite what the vulgar title may suggest, is just as intelligent and poignant as it is filthy.

To mark the the 20th Anniversary of both Word for Word and Z Space, the Word for Word Charter Members present 'In Friendship: Stories by Zona Gale', opening with a press night on Saturday August 17, 8pm and running through September 8 (previews today, August 14 -16) at Z Space's new second venue, Z Below, at 470 Florida Street.

The Ojai Playwrights Conference (OPC), one of the most acclaimed new play developmental programs in the country, announces its 16th season with an extraordinary program of playwrights, new play workshops and special performance events from August 7 through 11, 2013 in Ojai, California. The OPC Summer New Works Festival will feature eleven events over five days with established and up-and-coming playwrights. Participating in this year's conference with new works are Luis Alfaro (winner of the National Hispanic Playwriting Prize), Lucy Alibar, Richard Cabral, Samuel D. Hunter, Sean Lewis, Jiehae Park, Laura Schellhardt and David Wiener. Alice Tuan will be this year's "Writer-In-Residence," and as always, there will be two unforgettable "Intersection Series" events: one featuring a first-ever musical theatre collaboration Walt Disney Imagineering, Creative Entertainment, and the other showcasing the talents of actors, writers, songwriters and storytellers in an evening of profound solo performances.

The Gift Theatre artistic director Michael Patrick Thornton has announced casting for the Chicago premiere of Broadsword: A Heavy Metal Play written by Marco Ramirez (Orange is the New Black; Sons of Anarchy) and directed by Keira Fromm. Guest artists Chuck Spencer (Jeff Award-winner for Redtwist's Man From Nebraska) and Pavement Group's Cyd Blakewell (currently co-starring in Mine) join The Gift Ensemble members John Kelly Connolly (The Lonesome West), James D. Farruggio (Suicide, Inc.), Gabriel Franken (Mine) and John Gawlik (The Lonesome West).
