Laurissa “Lala” Romain will celebrate the release of her new song, 'Barriers' in her solo show at The Green Room 42 on Saturday, October 2nd at 9:30pm. In August, Lala was the Opening Act for Dermot Kennedy and Joy Oladokun for a sold-out crowd of 6,000 at The Leader Bank Pavillion in Boston.

BAM R&B Festival returns for two weekends of free performances at Fort Greene Park, set for Saturdays and Sundays, October 2—3 and October 9—10. The widely-known festival, which has grown to become one of Brooklyn's beloved outdoor traditions, brings together the community and groundbreaking artists—from music legends to bold new voices across the genre of R&B.

Invictus Theatre Company today announced casting for its production of Shakespeare's HAMLET, the opening production in its fifth season of plays. The popular tragedy will be performed October 21 through November 21, 2021 in the company's new venue at 1106 W. Thorndale Avenue in Edgewater (the space formerly known as The Frontier). Press opening is Monday, October 25 at 7:30 pm.

Tony Award-nominated Costume and Fashion Designer Emilio Sosa has been elected the Chair of the American Theatre Wing. Along with CPF, SummerStage founder Joe Killian is nominated as the Executive Producer of the film with Director Jake McAfee and Producer Jonathan Olson. Killian created SummerStage 35 years ago and is a music and entertainment powerhouse, a two-time Emmy award winner (both as Executive Producer).
