Rory Byrne and Lumka Coleman are in their final semester of Atlantic's Full-Time conservatory, a program that equips students with the tools to found their own theater company. Time to unpack and explore the company's up-coming inaugural play The House of Bernarda Alba by Federico Garcìa Lorca in a new adaptation by Emily Mann directed by Bluebird Ensemble member, Romain Mereau.

The Drama League announced today the 2020 line-up of DirectorFest: The 36th Annual Directors Festival, the only festival in the United States dedicated to the art of contemporary stage directing. For its 36th year, the festival will include six fully-staged productions, a showcase concert of a new musical, a town hall, and conversations with directors including 2017 Tony Award Winner Rebecca Taichman (Indecent), 2014 Tony Award Winner and 2010 Drama League Founders Award for Excellence in Directing Kenny Leon (A Soldier's Play), and Intimacy Director Claire Warden (HBO's Mrs. Fletcher).

On November 21, the award-winning SITI Company will honor Tony-nominee and vanguard artist Taylor Mac, at their annual fall gala, which celebrates SITI's contribution to both the American theatrical landscape and to theatre-making around the world.

Gloucester Stage Company wraps up its 40th Anniversary Season of professional theater with William Shakespeare's  Hamlet from October 25 through November 17 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA.. Hamlet's story begins when she meets her father's ghost, revealing that her uncle, Claudius, has murdered him and taken Hamlet's mother, Gertrude, for his queen.

Just in time for Halloween, an exclusive 2-man production of William Shakespeare's Macbeth will be performed in Notre Dame's Philbin Studio Theatre, October 30 & 31, 2019. 

The Tank will present its 2019-20 season at 312 West 36th Street in its 98-seat proscenium and 56-seat blackbox spaces. During this year's Season Release Bash at Park & Field, Artistic Director and Co-Founder Michael Patrick Thornton and Associate Artistic Director Emjoy Gavino announced The Gift Theatre's 2020 Season will include: a revival of Martin McDonagh's masterpiece THE PILLOWMAN; the Chicago premiere of Naomi Iizuka's drama AT THE VANISHING POINT, directed by Lavina Jadhwani; and the world premiere of Jennifer Rumberger's drama THE LOCUSTS, commissioned and developed by The Gift.
