The National Arts Club (NAC) presents the premiere reading of playwright Matthew Freeman's Silver Spring on Monday, November 14 at 2 PM (EST).

The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra USA (VSO) announces violinist Jinan Laurentia Woo, NJ (9th Grade, Columbia Preparatory School); bassoonist Preston Atkins, IA (incoming freshman, Curtis Institute of Music); and pianist Anwen Deng, PA (9th Grade, Conestoga High School) as the Gold Medalists of its 28th Young Artist Competition following a remarkable performance from all nine finalists.

The deluxe 20th anniversary edition of Stripped features new cover art and bonus tracks including pioneering Italian DJ/producer Benny Benassi's 2022 remix of Christina's signature track 'Beautiful.' The album will be available in standard and, for the first time, Dolby Atmos and 360RA mixes, providing fans with an immersive listening experience.

The Great British Bake Off Musical will transfer to the West End opening at the Noël Coward Theatre for a limited twelve-week run from 25 February to 13 May 2023.

Hear the heroic story of Elizabeth “Mumbet” Freeman come to life in the world premiere performances of original compositions written by students and performed by musicians from the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice on Saturday, October 29 at 1:30 p.m. at the MassArt Art Museum (MAAM), 621 Huntington Avenue, Boston.

Two of Connecticut’s major non-profit arts organizations, the Garde Arts Center and Goodspeed Musicals, are collaborating to present a free regional event based on the Warner Bros. movie Christmas in Connecticut on Wednesday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Garde Arts Center in downtown New London. 

Written and directed by Joe Ricci, The Chrysalis, explores family life when John's daughters (bohemian artist, Vicki, and her workaholic sister, Kerrigan) come home for a Sunday dinner and he drops the bombshell that not only is he selling the family home, but he's also joined 'Silver Foxes,' a dating site for sophisticated singles over sixty.

CHELSEA TABLE + STAGE will present vocalist and songwriter Loren Smith on Saturday, November 19 at 7:00 PM. The international touring artist will make his New York debut with “The Love Show” after sold-out West Coast performances.

The Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers, Florida  (Greg Longenhagen, Producing Artistic Director) was one of the victims of the category 4 Hurricane Ian that made landfall on September 28. Major damage was done to the professional, producing, non-profit LOA/LORT theatre company with waist-high surge waters that filled first-floor facilities. Once the water receded, a thick layer of mud along with water-logged carpets, furniture, and equipment was left behind. All staff and guest artists are safe; however, the company is mourning the loss of a long-term volunteer who died when her home on Fort Myers Beach was swept away.

The 20-song live set includes several songs from Nimrod, plus fan favorites from their previous albums and singles. The 14 track demos disc includes two unreleased Green Day songs (“You Irritate Me” (OUT NOW) and “Tre Polka”, plus a cover of the classic Elvis Costello song “Alison” (previously unreleased).

The Center for Contemporary Opera's (CCO) Fortieth Season will continue with We, The Innumerable by the Iranian composer Niloufar Nourbakhsh and the librettist Lisa Flanagan.  The workshop premiere of this one-act opera in concert form, takes place on Friday, October 21 at 7:30pm at National Sawdust.

Broadway and television star Barrett Foa (“NCIS: Los Angeles,” Avenue Q) will join Hypnotist Extraordinaire Asad Mecci for the combined hypnosis and improvisational comedy hit HYPROV at the Daryl Roth Theatre.

Vineyard Theatre has announced that T. Adamson is the recipient of the 2022-23 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award. Adamson will be presented with the award at The Vineyard's Emerging Artists Celebration on Tuesday, November 15 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

The official film poster for Disney's upcoming The Little Mermaid live action remake has been released. The photo features a new look at Halle Bailey as Ariel. The movie will also star Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Jacob Tremblay as Flounder, Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric, Awkwafina as Scuttle, and more.

The San José Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Maestra Barbara Day Turner, makes its second foray into chamber opera, presenting OURLAND: A Dystopian State, an opera in 12 scenes recently composed by Paul Davies with a libretto by Daniel Helfgot.

Performing arts organization Young Texas Artists will kick off its 2022-2023 season with Classics At The Glade, a celebration at Glade Cultural Center in The Woodlands set for Friday, Oct. 21.
