Last night, SeriousFun Children's Network hosted its annual gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. SeriousFun Children's Network is a global network of camps and programs founded by legendary actor and philanthropist Paul Newman. SeriousFun's camps and programs offer life-changing camp experiences to children with serious illnesses and their families, always free of charge. The evening featured a series of live performances and personal testimonials from SeriousFun campers and families alike, demonstrating the profound impact of SeriousFun camps.

Lisa Lambe and Rachael Sage Will Come to the Irish Arts Center

On May 9-10, Irish singer, actor, and songwriter Lisa Lambe (of Celtic Women) will make an exhilarating return to Irish Arts Center for performances of work from her second solo album. Alt-pop artist Rachael Sage, acclaimed for her 'rich vocals, sparkling piano and yearning poetry' (Time Out New York), will perform songs from her upcoming acoustic album, PseudoMyopia (May 23) as part of Irish Arts Center's SongLives series showcasing Ireland and North America's most exciting contemporary singer-songwriters.

Mondavi Center Announces 2019-20 Season

The Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts, UC Davis announces its 18th season of performing arts, filled with the leading artists in music, dance and theater alongside an insightful group of speakers. The season begins on Sunday, September 29, with a family-friendly performance from gospel true-believers Trey McLaughlin & The Sounds of Zamar and concludes June 7, 2020 with the Alexander String Quartet finishing a two-year cycle of the complete Shostakovich string quartets.

It was Up UP and Away last night at the Eissey Campus Theatre as Jimmy Webb, one of America's most highly regarded songwriters spent an evening playing and singing his music for the Palm Beach Audience. It's always thrilling to hear the stories behind the creation of iconic music, and I was thinking as Jimmy performed his songs, I guess this it what have been like if the likes of George Gershwin and the other great composers were around to spend an evening describing the process and inspiration of creating music and lyrics.

Riverside Opera Company and Richmond County Orchestra Present: 2nd Annual Staten Island Has Talent

The Riverside Opera Company(ROC) and Richmond County Orchestra(RCO), under the direction of Maestro Alan Aurelia presents the 2nd Annual Staten Island Has Talent @NYPL. The performers are winners of open public auditions held by the RCO and ROC . They will sing and perform selections of their choosing. ISLE OF KLEZBOS Celebrates 20th Anniversary at Joe's Pub

ISLE of KLEZBOS, the swinging all-women's klezmer sextet, will celebrate their 20th Anniversary with a special concert Isle of Klezbos: Isle of Manhattan! at Joe's Pub on Today, October 25 at 7:00 PM featuring returning guest artist Natalia Zukerman. The band and spellbinding singer-songwriter - whose father, the classical violinist Pinchas Zukerman, is the son of a Polish-born klezmer player - first melded musical minds earlier this year, exploring poignant Yiddish roots and hidden gems from vintage soundtracks, personal histories, vivid resistance narratives, and soulful sounds of liberation. Spreading joy coast to coast this anniversary year, ISLE of KLEZBOS  latest repertoire also features original klezmer bugalu (boogaloo), lesser-known bawdy traditionals, and luscious retakes on irresistible Eastern European swing and tango. Natalia brings vibrant stories and tunes from her powerful multi-media performance, "The Women Who Rode Away," including lush arrangements with backing Klezbos bandmates. New Master Classes Announced At Landmark

HEARTS and LANDMARK ON MAIN STREET, two Port Washington non-profits whose missions involve supporting the arts throughout the community, announce the HEARTS' 2018-19 Master Classes. This series of four FREE experiential workshops for high school students through adults, features skilled and celebrated professional artists in a variety of disciplines.
