Following on from last weekend's streaming of the 25th-anniversary performance of The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies has been released worldwide via YouTube as part of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Shows Must Go On lockdown series. Lloyd Webber has described the show as a a?oestand-alone piecea?? over simply a sequel to Phantom. It takes audiences on a second adventure with the characters on the other side of the Atlantic.

Belvoir has announced the cast of the eagerly anticipated Sydney premiere of Fangirls, a hilarious new Australian musical comedy about first love, fan culture and the danger of underestimating teenage girls. The production will show at Belvoir St Theatre from 12th October to 10th November this year immediately following its world premiere at Queensland Theatre in September.

The winner of the 2018 Rob Guest Endowment Award was announced tonight at the conclusion of the Grand Final Event held at Sydney's Capitol Theatre. Competing against five other outstanding Semi-Finalists, Annie Aitken (Melba, Muriel's Wedding) took out the prestigious award after being chosen by an expert panel of judges, which comprised Kellie Dickerson, Jason Langley, Sharon Millerchip and Guy Simpson.

The 2018 Helpmann Awards Act II tonight was a star-studded ceremony in front of a full house at the Capitol Theatre Sydney on the set of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical. Hosts for this stellar evening were music writer Glenn A Baker AM, acclaimed choreographer Rafael Bonachela, celebrated musical theatre star and TV host David Campbell, multiple Helpmann Award winning mezzo soprano Jacqueline Dark, comedian Anne Edmonds and Olivier and Tony Award Nominee Tony Sheldon.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels cleaned up at the Glugs Theatrical Awards tonight, Monday 3rd February, winning a total of four awards including Best Musical. Sydney Theatre Company's The Secret River also walked away with the coveted Outstanding Theatre Production and Best New Australian Work awards.

The 13th Annual Helpmann Awards ceremony will feature some of Australia's most talented and celebrated performers. This year joining co-hosts Eddie Perfect and Christie Whelan Browne on stage as presenters will be Bert Newton, Tina Arena, Erika Heynatz, Patrick Brammall, Chloe Dallimore, Rob Mills, Ashley Zuckerman, Miranda Tapsell, John Watersand Sharon Millerchip. These presenters and more will be announcing the winners of the 43 awards recognising distinguished artistic achievement and excellence across the major disciplines of Australia's live performance industry. In addition to the star studded list of presenters, the ceremony will include a line-up of incredible performances showcasing Australia's unique and diverse live performance industry. Tim Minchin fresh from his role in Jesus Christ Superstar and his huge success with Matilda on Broadway will be making a very special appearance on the night.
