Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans, who lead the West End cast in the award-winning Ghost the Musical, have recently recorded their own cover version of Somebody That I Used To Know in celebration of Gotye and Kimbra's original. The original single has reached number one in the top forty charts and is currently number one in the Billboard album charts. Since its release on You Tube last Friday, Dillon and Evans' version has currently been seen by over 14,500 people. This track isn't for sale or to download, simply a bit of Ghost the Musical fun for fans of the song and musical to enjoy. Check out the video below!

As Ghost The Musical enters its second year, over 250,000 new tickets go on sale today (28 March 2012) taking bookings at the Piccadilly Theatre to 20 April 2013. Having been seen by over 400,000 people, Ghost The Musical is now also playing on Broadway, with further productions planned for Holland in September 2012, Australia and Germany in 2013 and Korea in 2014.
SLIP INTO YOUR SKIN, a one-night-only showcase of the songs of New York-based composer David Are featuring Sharon D. Clarke, will be staged at London's Freedom Bar March 18 at 8 PM.
Matilda the Musical, produced by the RSC and running at the Cambridge Theatre, leads the way with ten nominations - the maximum number of eligible awards for a musical this year. These notably include a collective nomination for Best Actress for all four young actresses who play the title role. Amongst other musical theatre productions Ghost The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre and the National Theatre's London Road have five and four nominations respectively.

In advance of the Broadway transfer of Ghost The Musical, this morning Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy handed over the leading roles of Sam Wheat and Molly Jensen as they are headed for Broadway. Mark Evans (Welsh TV star and last on stage in the West End as Fiyero in Wicked) and Siobhan Dillon (finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber's first reality TV show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? and most recently on stage in the West End in Legally Blonde The Musical) will take on the West End roles on Friday January 13th. They were joined at London's Picadilly Theatre today by Sharon D. Clarke and Andrew Langtree (West End) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Bryce Pinkham (Broadway) who play Oda Mae Brown and Carl Bruner. My 2011 theatrical exploits, while not as numerous as I'd like, have been enjoyable on the whole and happily have involved the West End, the London and Edinburgh Fringes and Broadway. In an attempt to summarise I have come up with a few arbitrary and inconsistent categories into which to put some of the shows I've seen.

Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans join Sharon D Clarke as Oda Mae Brown and Andrew Langtree as Carl who continue in the roles they originated on stage when the production premiered.
