Following a successful first season with events spanning all genres of entertainment, from stand-up comedy and musical cabaret to jazz trios and West End favourites - and featuring artists such as Frisky and Mannish, Sharon D. Clarke and Hadley Fraser - the second season of events in the St. James Studio is officially announced today.

The IDolls brought their brand of soul divadom to The Hippodrome on Sunday 18 November as part of the Live At The Hippodrome season. The IDolls are Portia Emare, Emma Lindars and Charlotte Riby, the trio who first appeared as the Divas in the West End production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.

Ghost The Musical will be closing at the Piccadilly Theatre to make way for Viva Forever, the Spice Girls musical. The show will take its final bow today, October 6.

The West End production of GHOST THE MUSICAL is now booking until 20th April 2013 and has been seen by over 430,000 people in the UK. Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans, who lead the West End cast in the award-winning Ghost the Musical, have recently recorded their own cover version of Somebody That I Used To Know in celebration of Gotye and Kimbra's original. The original single has reached number one in the top forty charts and is currently number one in the Billboard album charts. Since its release on You Tube last Friday, Dillon and Evans' version has currently been seen by over 14,500 people. This track isn't for sale or to download, simply a bit of Ghost the Musical fun for fans of the song and musical to enjoy. Check out the video below!

GHOST THE MUSICAL's Mark Evans and Siobhan Dillon have taken their on-stage partnership into the recording studio to bring a treat to GHOST's legion of fans in the form of Gotye's 'Somebody I Used to Know.'

As Ghost The Musical enters its second year, over 250,000 new tickets go on sale today (28 March 2012) taking bookings at the Piccadilly Theatre to 20 April 2013. Having been seen by over 400,000 people, Ghost The Musical is now also playing on Broadway, with further productions planned for Holland in September 2012, Australia and Germany in 2013 and Korea in 2014.

SLIP INTO YOUR SKIN, a one-night-only showcase of the songs of New York-based composer David Are featuring Sharon D. Clarke, will be staged at London's Freedom Bar March 18 at 8 PM.

Matilda the Musical, produced by the RSC and running at the Cambridge Theatre, leads the way with ten nominations - the maximum number of eligible awards for a musical this year. These notably include a collective nomination for Best Actress for all four young actresses who play the title role. Amongst other musical theatre productions Ghost The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre and the National Theatre's London Road have five and four nominations respectively.

The nominees for this year's Olivier Awards will be announced today from 12 noon - follow it right here on BWW:UK.

In advance of the Broadway transfer of Ghost The Musical, this morning Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy handed over the leading roles of Sam Wheat and Molly Jensen as they are headed for Broadway. Mark Evans (Welsh TV star and last on stage in the West End as Fiyero in Wicked) and Siobhan Dillon (finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber's first reality TV show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? and most recently on stage in the West End in Legally Blonde The Musical) will take on the West End roles on Friday January 13th. They were joined at London's Picadilly Theatre today by Sharon D. Clarke and Andrew Langtree (West End) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Bryce Pinkham (Broadway) who play Oda Mae Brown and Carl Bruner.
