Commonwealth Shakespeare Company to Offer Virtual Shakespeare Intensives in January

Boston’s Commonwealth Shakespeare Company is offering its Virtual Shakespeare Intensive (VSI), a one-week online program that provides instruction and practice in bringing Shakespeare’s characters to life on stage. Sessions will cover how to decipher his words, unlock secrets in the meter and rhythm, act on the line, and embody actions.

Perisphere Theater Signs Gerrad Alex Taylor To Direct TIME IS ON OUR SIDE Next August

Perisphere Theater announced that it has hired Gerrad Alex Taylor to direct its production of R. Eric Thomas's Time Is On Our Side in August 2021. Perisphere had previously announced an August 2020 run of this play with Artistic Director Kevin O'Connell as director, but it was postponed because of COVID-19 restrictions.

Seattle Shakespeare's O, WONDER! Returns For The Holidays

After the success of its summer digital scavenger hunt “O, Wonder!”, Seattle Shakespeare Company is bringing the game back for the holidays. Featuring all new missions related to Shakespeare and the season, “O, Wonder! – Holiday” will launch on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. The game will run through January 3, 2021 and will include raffle prizes and awards for participation.

David Mamet’s provocative drama Oleanna, directed by Lucy Bailey stars Rosie Sheehy and Jonathan Slinger and is running at Theatre Royal Bath’s Ustinov Studio from 3 December to 22 December and again from 4 January to 16 January 2021. Reduced capacity at the Ustinov Studio will allow for an audience of 60 persons per performance.

Paul Pryce To Direct HB's Hagen Core Training

HB Studio—one of New York's original institutions for theater training and practice—has appointed Paul Pryce as director of its annual acting intensive, the Hagen Core Training program. Seattle Shakespeare Cancels Remaining Plays for 20-21 Season

Today Seattle Shakespeare Company announced that due to the ongoing public health crisis, it will cancel all its live productions planned for the theatre’s 30th Anniversary season.  The canceled productions of Volpone and Much Ado About Nothing join the previously announced cancelations of Richard II and Long Day’s Journey into Night.
