Matilda The Musical comes to Sleepy Hollow Summer Theater in July. Performances run July 27-August 5, 2023. Auditions will be held  April 7, 8 & 9.

Tony Award winner Adrienne Warren is headed back to Broadway to lead the American premiere of ROOM, written and adapted for the stage by Emma Donoghue, based on her 2010 best-selling novel which she also adapted into the award-winning 2015 film.

The Atlanta Shakespeare Company at The Shakespeare Tavern Playhouse will present Romeo and Juliet directed by J.L. Reed from February 2nd through March 4th. There will be a $15 General Admission Preview Thursday February 2, 2023, and a $20 General Admission Preview Friday February 3, 2023. Performances run February 4-March 4, with a bonus performance Tuesday, February 14, 2023. There will be a a post show Q&A on Sunday February 12, 2023.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) has announced the publication of Tip of the Tongue: Reflections on Language and Meaning by Peter Brook. TCG will publish the U.S. edition of this title, which was originally published in the U.K. in 2017 by our Partner Publisher Nick Hern Books. 

TheatreSquared has been awarded the highly competitive 2023 American Institute of Architects (AIA) NY Design Merit Award, an annual juried competition by the Institute’s oldest chapter, considering all architectural design recently built in New York City and by New York City-based architects around the world.

Peninsula Players Theatre has announced the cast for the first play reading of The Play's the Thing, a winter play reading series presented to Door County audiences.  

The two-hander period musical 'Daddy Long Legs,' featuring the book by John Caird (Royal Shakespeare Company) and the music and lyrics by Paul Gordon ('Jane Eyre' on Broadway), will make its Cebu City premiere on February 3, 2023, at the Siddhartha Theater, Guang Ming Institute of Performing Arts. Directed by Penelop Ong (Vaudeville Theatre Company), the production will run until February 5.

This new production of Home, I’m Darling opens at the Theatre Royal Windsor on 25 January 2023, prior to the play’s first extensive national tour. Check out all new rehearsal photos here!

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati (ETC) kicks off the new year with the regional premiere comedy Grand Horizons by award-winning playwright Bess Wohl.

Co-authored by Conor Duffy and Jake Broder, Max & Willy’s Last Laugh is based on the true story of entertainers Max Ehrlich and Willy Rosen, who for 18 months performed the funniest cabaret in Europe to ensure their safety at the Westerbork Transit Camp during World War II.

The winners have been announced for the 2022 BroadwayWorld Cincinnati Awards, honoring the best in regional productions, touring shows, and more which had their first performance between October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022.

WQXR has announced its 2023 roster of Artist Propulsion Lab (APL) participants. The APL is the station's innovative program designed to support classical music artists in the creation of original work and in connecting with new audiences. 

Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, has announced the recipients of the first and second rounds of the 2022-23 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $725,000, allow 17 productions extra time for the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, hoping to extend the life of the world premiere play after its first run.

It Takes Two Productions will present 'Marry Me a Little' - The Australian premiere of Sondheim's Off-Broadway review. This two-person show is a collection of often unheard Sondheim songs. Traditionally performed by a male and female cast, the company has brought new life to this 1980's review through the modern lens of a queer male cast.
