THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, January 5, 2018 and runs through Saturday, January 27, 2018. The 196 seat theater-in-the-round is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst.

Citadel Theatre will continue its 2017-18 season with Laura Eason's SEX WITH STRANGERS, in its first area production since its 2009 and 2011 stagings at Steppenwolf Theatre. The play received its World Premiere as part of Steppenwolf's First Look Repertory of New Work in 2009 and was restaged as one of the company's regular season offerings in 2011.

Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) announces the cast and creative team for He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box, the first new work in a decade from Adrienne Kennedy, whom The New York Times called one of the finest living American playwrights. Set in Georgia and New York City in 1941, He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box is a heartbreaking, nail-biting memory tale of segregation, theatrical yearning, and doomed love.

The Players Club of Swarthmore is partnering with popular Philadelphia comedian and 94.1 WIP radio personality Big Daddy Graham to present A Row Home Christmas Dec. 20-31 on the Players Club Main Stage at 614 Fairview Ave. in Swarthmore. Written by and starring Graham, A Row Home Christmas is the second play written by Graham (Mullica Hill, N.J.) and follows his wildly successful Last Call, an autobiographical piece about his relationship with his father that sold out several Philadelphia-area theaters. Producing Artistic Director John Lant, Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica are pleased to announce the extention of FRANKENSTEIN, a new musical based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B. Sirota and directed by Clint Hromsco. The production continues Mondays at 7:00 pm through December 18th, 2017, then returns Monday, January 15th, 2018 at 7:00 pm and continues Mondays at 7:00 pm through March 5th, 2018.

Producers Ryan Murphy and David Stone have announced that Charlie Carver ('The Leftovers,' 'Teen Wolf') will complete the cast of the 50th Anniversary production of Mart Crowley's groundbreaking play, The Boys in the Band. Carver will play the role of Cowboy.

The Marsh San Francisco announces a new solo show by Jill Vice, A Fatal Step. Flipping the tables on film noir tropes, Vice's 60-minute dramedy tells its shadowy tale not from the typical point of view of the hardboiled detective, but from that of the femme fatale. When Sarah's footing with her handsome podiatrist boyfriend is undermined by an archrival, she takes drastic steps to keep her man. Returning to The Marsh after her highly acclaimed run of Tipped & Tipsy, Vice's A Fatal Step was hailed as a delicious turn on noir by the Winnipeg Free Press.
