Second Stage Theater Announces Production Dates for CLYDE'S, TAKE ME OUT, LETTERS OF SURESH & TO MY GIRLS

Second Stage Theater has announced dates for four of its upcoming productions, including the Broadway stagings of Lynn Nottage’s Clyde’s and Richard Greenberg’s Take Me Out. The Broadway plays will be staged at the Hayes Theater (240 West 44th Street) and the Off-Broadway productions will be presented at the Kiser Theater (305 West 43rd Street).

Mark Cuddy Will Retire as Artistic Director of Geva Theatre Center in July 2022

Loosely based on Euripides' Medea, Girls and Boys tells the harrowing tale of a young upwardly mobile lady who is a business woman, a wife, and a mother of two young children. In short, she has it all. But can she keep it? This one-woman play written by Dennis Kelly originally premiered at The Royal Court Theatre in London on February 8th, 2018 with Carey Mulligan in the starring role.

As he struggles to convince the government of his need for asylum, he comes to see the U.K. as a cold, aloof, and heartless place. Until he meets a young woman from the wrong side of the tracks. A single mother with a low-paying job, she represents for him a lifeline to the future. But how can their friendship ever be what each needs it to be?

Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards Announce First Round of 2021 Recipients

Theatre Communications Group has announced the recipients of the first round of the 2021 Edgerton Foundation New Play Awards. The awards, totaling $1,072,000, allow 28 productions extra time for the development and rehearsal of new plays with the entire creative team, hoping to extend the life of the world premiere play after its first run.
