Mercer County Artists Award Winners Announced

The arts community was out in force on Feb. 22 for the Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony for "Mercer County Artists 2017," now on display at the Gallery at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) through March 23. The Gallery at Mercer is located on the second floor of the Communications Building on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. (The gallery is closed during Spring Break, March 13 to 19.)

The latest art exhibit coming to the Mercer County Community College (MCCC) Gallery shows that artistic expression can be a beautiful thing at any age. 'Passing the Palette: Arts Educators and Their Students' showcases the generation of artists who are still in high school or are recent graduates, along with the teachers who are inspiring them to pursue their artistic passions.
Onassis Festival NY 2015 to Open OCC NY's Inaugural Season

The Onassis Cultural Center NY launches its inaugural fall season with the Onassis Festival NY 2015. Narcissus Now: The Myth Reimagined is the first annual festival of arts and ideas, taking place in the newly renovated space in the Olympic Tower in New York City. The Festival features a kaleidoscopic view of the myth of Narcissus through music, visual art, film, science, literature, choreography, culinary arts, fashion and digital media for curious minds. Free and open to the public, Narcissus Nowat the Onassis Cultural Center NY (645 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10022), October 8-11, will include over 40 events for audiences of all ages-novices and scholars alike. The Inaugural Season continues with the World Citizens symposium on October 23 and music programs in November and December.

Due to the success of the Lincoln Theatre's new concert series, Backstage at the Lincoln, the Lincoln Theatre Association (LTA) today announced the expansion of the series to include three additional concerts in 2013. Backstage at the Lincoln concerts offer patrons the extraordinary opportunity to be seated on stage with the featured local artist, providing concert goers an up-close-and-personal performance set against the hand-painted grandeur of the Lincoln's rare Egyptian Revival-style motif.
