The most wonderful time of the year is underway as rehearsals begin this week for Goodman Theatre's A Christmas Carol, 'a joyous present for the entire family' (Chicago Sun-Times), in its 36th annual production. Directing the holiday favorite for the first time, Henry Wishcamper's production features all-new on stage magic-set elements, special effects and more. The cast of 27 (below, includes 14 new and 13 returning cast members) stars Larry Yando, who most recently appeared in Mary Zimmerman's production of The Jungle Book as Shere Khan, in his sixth turn as Ebenezer Scrooge and 8-year-old Matthew Abraham as Tiny Tim for the second year. A Christmas Carol runs tonight, November 16 - December 28 in the Goodman's Albert Theatre.

The Red Herring Productions' choice to stage Stephen Sondheim's ASSASSINS at the Riffe Center Studio One Theater couldn't have been more ironic. Less than a gunshot away from a stoic statue of William McKinley, Leon Czolgosz (played by Jay Rittberger) will assassinate McKinley for seven times between Oct. 31 and Nov. 9 and earn applause for it.

Goodman Theatre announces the complete line-up for its 2013 New Stages festival, this year celebrating Latino playwrights. Dallas Theater Center Board of Trustees Chair Rebecca Fletcher and Managing Director Heather Kitchen are thrilled to announce the successful completion of DTC's "Bringing the Wyly Theatre to Life" Advancement Campaign. The campaign was designed to support a bold vision for DTC's future, which began with the Theater's move to the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center in 2009.

Dallas Theater Center has announced the regional premiere of Clybourne Park, running in rotating rep with A Raisin in the Sun, to launch the theater's 55th season. Clybourne Park will be directed by DTC Associate Artistic Director Joel Ferrell. Clybourne Park begins with a Pay-What-You-Can performance tonight, October 4 and runs through Sunday, October 27 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre in the AT&T Performing Arts Center.
