This season, one of literature's most celebrated works, Harper Lee's To KIll A Mockingbird has landed on Broadway in a new adaptation by legendary screenwriter Aaron Sorkin.

Tracy Oliver's “The First Wives Club” series will now air on BET instead of Paramount Network as originally planned, according to Variety.

Producer Scott Rudin announced today that Tony Award nominee Kristine Nielsen will complete the starry cast of Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus, the new comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist and MacArthur Fellow Taylor Mac, joining the previously announced three-time Tony Award winner Nathan Lane and two-time Tony Award winner Andrea Martin. Directed by five-time Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe, Gary is set just after the blood-soaked conclusion of William Shakespeare's first tragedy, Titus Andronicus.

This morning, Film Independent announced the nominations for the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards. The Spirit Awards are the primary fundraiser for Film Independent's year-round programs, which cultivate the careers of emerging filmmakers and promote diversity in the industry. The BBC has entered a creative partnership with FX Networks, with the BBC securing the rights to all new scripted (comedy and drama) FX original series, it was announced today by Charlotte Moore, Director, BBC Content and Gina Brogi, President of Global Distribution, Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution. The deal was negotiated with the BBC by Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution on behalf of FX Networks.

'Clueless,' the hit 1995 comedy, will be remade by Paramount Pictures, according to Variety. The studio is developing a remake of film with Tracy Oliver, the writer of “Girls Trip,” producing.

PBS revealed tonight that TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD was voted America's best-loved novel during this evening's GREAT AMERICAN READ "Grand Finale". The final episode, taped in front of a live audience at the Masonic Hall in New York City, counted down all 100 novels, which were first announced to the public in April. The new Paramount Network today announced a full series order for 'Emily in Paris' (working title) from Darren Star. The 10 episode, half-hour series will bookend a new Thursday dramedy night that launches in January with 'First Wives Club,' from Tracy Oliver ('Girls Trip'), followed by Star's hit-series 'Younger,' that officially moves to Paramount Network for season six in the spring, followed by 'Emily in Paris' in the summer.
