Vassar & New York Stage and Film have announced the next wave of casting for their highly anticipated 33rd Powerhouse Season in Poughkeepsie, NY, which starts this Friday, June 23 and runs through July 30, 2017.

Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director/CEO) has just announced the 22-minute film A Roundabout Road to Broadway, directed by Andrew Lawton, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the not-for-profit theatre company has won top honors from the AVA Digital Awards, the Telly Awards, the Hermes Creative Awards and the Creative International Awards.

Roundabout Theatre Company presents Roundabout Underground alumni playwright Meghan Kennedy's (Too Much, Too Much, Too Many) new play Napoli, Brooklyn, commissioned by Roundabout, directed by Gordon Edelstein, beginning preview performances tomorrow, June 9, 2017 and opening officially on June 27, 2017 at the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 W 46th Street). BWW has learned that a development reading is planned for the new musical comedy TOOTSIE. Westfield Productions's Scott Sanders and Carol Fineman will present the invitation-only event on Thursday, June 8 at 2 PM at New 42 Studios.

The New York Musical Festival (NYMF) and CPA Theatricals present Numbers Nerds, the [almost] all-girl math challenge, with book by Laura Stratford, Music by David Kornfeld, lyrics by Alex Higgin-Houser, additional music by Dylan MarcAurele and original story by Larry Little.  Amber Mak, New Works Development Director at Chicago's Paramount Theatre, directs and choreographs a cast of six, including Danielle Davila, Madison Kauffman, Jake Morrissy, Maisie Rose, Sharon Sachs (Film: 'Home Alone;'  TV: 'Weeds,' 'Dexter,' 'Grimm') and Tiffany Tatreau (Ride the Cyclone). Six performances will be staged at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater, 416 West 42nd Street, New York City from July 19-23, 2017.

Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP) is excited to announce its newest member to its National Advisory Board, Pulitzer Prize-winning Playwright, Donald Margulies.  On Saturday May 6, the company welcomed its 2017 American Theatre Master, Donald Margulies, on the road less traveled.  The day began with a Q&A session with Mr. Margulies, moderated by RLTP Literary Director Jon Elston at the Road Less Traveled Theater. That evening, Mr. Margulies was guest of honor during a sold-out performance of The Country House.

Vassar & New York Stage and Film have announced the programming lineup for their upcoming 33rd Powerhouse Season, the annual summer season, which brings together some of the most influential theatrical voices working today for fully-staged productions of new plays, workshop presentations of new plays and musicals, and readings of other works in progress.

On Monday, May 8, Roundabout Theatre Company will host their third annual Casino Night, at the American Airlines Theatre (227 W. 42nd St). All proceeds benefit Roundabout Theatre Company's many programs, including the Education programs, the Theatrical Workforce Development Program and the Musical Theatre Fund.
