The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premiere French cultural center, and Da Camera of Houston Productions present the New York Premiere of A Proust Sonata, Wednesday through Friday, January 10 12 at 7:30pm in FIAF's Florence Gould Hall.

On Saturday, April 22, Da Camera of Houston presents four-time Grammy Award winning trumpeter and composer Terence Blanchard at the Cullen Theater, Wortham Theater Center. Since embarking on his solo recording career, the New Orleans-born and -based artist has traveled many paths musically, including delivering adventurous and provocative acoustic jazz outings of original material and composing over 50 soundtracks. Now Blanchard powerfully and playfully journeys into a new jazz realm with his quintet, The E-Collective - an exciting zone of grooved fusion teeming with funk, R&B and blues colors. It is his first foray into straight-up groove.

On Thursday, April 4, 2017, Da Camera of Houston presents the Houston recital debut of renowned Welsh pianist, BCC New Generation Artist and Borletti-Buitoni Trust Winner Llr Williams at the Menil Collection. Williams is widely admired for his profound musical intelligence and the expressive and communicative nature of his interpretations. Signature Theatre has announced that the World Premiere of CHERI, conceived, directed and choreographed by Martha Clarke, will get a one week extension and now play a limited six week run through Sunday December 29 only. The production began preview performances on November 19 and opening night is December 8 in The Irene Diamond Stage at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). A limited number of $25 tickets remain for the initial run through December 22 and tickets during the extension week are $75 each. Signature offers a waitlist option for all sold out performances. Names will be taken at the Box Office starting one hour prior to curtain. Waitlist tickets through December 22 are $25, subject to availability.

The Classical Recording Foundation (CRF) is pleased to announce the 2013 winners of its twelfth annual Classical Recording Foundation Awards. Four prizes will be presented at the Foundation's Annual Awards Concert and Benefit at 7:30pm on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall. The event will feature CRF Young Artist of the Year pianist Roman Rabinovich performing selections from his CD Ballets Russes (Orchid; March 2013), pianist Laura Leon performing works by CRF Composer of the Year Peter Schickele's album The Music of Peter Schickele, Samuel Sanders Collaborative Artists Award winners Hsin-Yun Huang and Sarah Rothenberg in selections from their recording Viola Viola (Bridge; November 2012); andClassical Recording Foundation Award winner, cellist Sophie Shao, performing selections from her upcoming double-CD set of J.S. Bach's Cello Suites. The proceeds from the 2013 Classical Recording Foundation Award Ceremony and Benefit will go toward the 2014 Awards.
