Da Camera of Houston presents Vienna 1900: In the Garden of Dreams, an immersive original production conceived of and directed by Da Camera Artistic Director Sarah Rothenberg, today, February 1 and Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 7:30 p.m., at Zilkha Hall, Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.

At Da Camera Society of Texas' annual meeting this week, the organization's Board of Directors announced the realignment of its management structure. Sarah Rothenberg, who is celebrating her 25th anniversary as artistic director in the 2018-19 season and who has served as artistic and general director since 2011, will continue as the organization's artistic director. The current interim director of administration, Toni Capra, has been named to the newly created position of executive director effective July 1, 2018.

Da Camera of Houston celebrates 31 years of presenting chamber music and jazz concerts with the announcement of its 2018/2019 season, themed "Time Future Time Past." The title is taken from Four Quartets, a poem by T.S. Eliot: "Time present and time past / Are both perhaps present in time future / And time future contained in time past…" With a lineup spanning styles and genres, Da Camera's 2018/2019 season explores the progression of time. The season also marks visionary artist director Sarah Rothenberg's 25th anniversary season with Da Camera.

Da Camera of Houston presents "Wartime Stories: Reich and Messiaen," a program featuring the St. Lawrence String Quartet, clarinetist Joshua Rubin and Sarah Rothenberg, pianist and Da Camera artistic and general director. This critically acclaimed jazz collective celebrates the music of legendary composer and bassist Charles Mingus (1922-1979).

Da Camera of Houston presents world-renowned pianist Garrick Ohlsson in a program focused on the superlative brilliance and beauty of Beethoven's sonatas on Friday, March 2, 2018, at 8 PM at Stude Concert Hall at Rice University. 'Garrick Ohlsson Plays Beethoven' is presented as the second annual James K. Schooler Memorial Concert, recognizing the generous bequest made by a loyal Da Camera subscriber and donor.

Baryshnikov Arts Center (BAC) continues its Spring 2018 Music Series on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 7:30pm with a presentation of Olivier Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time conceived and directed by Sarah Rothenberg with lighting designed by Jennifer Tipton, performed in BAC's Jerome Robbins Theater. An all-star ensemble of instrumentalists - Joshua Rubin, clarinet; Geoff Nuttall, violin; Christopher Costanza, cello; and Sarah Rothenberg, piano - bring to life this timeless work, which Messiaen wrote and premiered in 1941 while in confinement at a prisoner-of-war camp in Germany during World War II.
