Full speed ahead! The Omaha Community Playhouse has taken to the water with a 1997 Tony Award winning musical, TITANIC, THE MUSICAL. An ambitious undertaking based on actual events of the April 15, 1912 maiden voyage of the unsinkable RMS TITANIC, the musical displays humanity in all its shades when facing the prospect of a better life across the Atlantic or imminent death in its icy waters.

The Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) held its annual Awards Night celebration on Monday, August 1, to honor cast and crew members in the 2021/22 season. This year the Outstanding Youth Performance Awards has been renamed to the Jim Eisenhardt Outstanding Youth Award, to honor Jim's passion, work, and devotion to inspiring the youth of Omaha through theatre and the arts.

What did our critic think of KINKY BOOTS at Omaha Community Playhouse?

By the time you read this, you may have missed your chance to see Disney's BEAUTY AND THE BEAST at the Ralston Community Theatre. You may have thought that it's a 'tale as old as time,' that you've seen several times, both on film and on stage. But this one may be different. This one felt more like home than a quiet village. The performers were familiar, the theater was in a local high school, and the audience...your friends and neighbors...were loving every minute. I especially enjoyed watching the face of a little girl dressed in her Belle costume completely entranced. Sometimes seeing something through the eyes of a child makes it new again.

If you like movies like, 'You've Got Mail,' you will like this show. SHE LOVES ME is about as sweet as a parfumerie.

BIG FISH, THE MUSICAL took the stage this week at the Bellevue Little Theatre. It is a heart warming story that balances on the fine line between what is true and what isn't. Fact or fiction--we all want a hero.
