MerleFest Hosts 20th Year of Acoustic Kids Showcases in 2020

Over the past two decades, hundreds of young musicians have taken part in the Acoustic Kids programming at MerleFest presented by Window World. This year—the showcase's 20th anniversary—young musicians from the MerleFest audience will once again step on stage and perform in Andy May's Acoustic Kids Showcases. Some participants are just learning to play their instrument, some play just for the fun of it, and some go on to international renown. Put on by long-time music educator and accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Andy May, Acoustic Kids is open to any musicians ages 16 or younger who register online before March 15.

The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. Preceding the 62nd Annual GRAMMY AWARDS telecast, the Premiere Ceremony was hosted by two-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Imogen Heap and featured a number of performances by current GRAMMY nominees. Performers included classical violinist Nicola Benedetti, jazz legend Chick Corea, folk music supergroup I'm With Her, West African sensation Angélique Kidjo and Best New Artist nominee Yola.

The Mastersons Announce New Album NO TIME FOR LOVE SONGS

The Mastersons are singer-songwriters/multi-instrumentalists Chris Masterson and Eleanor Whitmore. When they're not touring the world as valued longtime members of Steve Earle's band the Dukes, the musical and marital twosome make inspired albums of their own emotionally vivid, deeply humanistic songs. The duo's fourth set of original compositions is the appropriately titled NO TIME FOR LOVE SONGS, out March 6, 2019 on Red House Records.

Jonah Tolchin Adds More Dates to U.S. Tour

Acclaimed singer/songwriter/bluesman Jonah Tolchin has confirmed additional tour dates in support of his fourth studio album, Fires for the Cold, out September 13 on Yep Roc Records. The 15-date U.S. tour kicks off August 29, in New York City with stops in Nashville at AmericanaFest, Washington, D.C., Charlotte, Decatur, Cambridge, amongst others. A seven-date European tour with label mate Dawn Landes is slated for December. A full list of dates is below.

Jonah Tolchin To Release FIRES FOR THE COLD 9/13, Fall Tour Dates Announced

Acclaimed singer/songwriter/bluesman Jonah Tolchin will release his fourth studio album, Fires for the Cold, September 13 on Yep Roc Records. The album's first single, ”Honeysuckle,” featuring Sara Watkins premiered at PopMatters, who notes this “may be his most ambitious LP to date.” In support of the release, Tolchin will embark on a fall tour beginning September 27, in Washington, DC. DelFest Releases 2019 Schedule and Last Round of Artist Additions

DelFest is proud to reveal their full performance schedule for this year's festival which will take place in Cumberland, Maryland, onMemorial Day Weekend—May 23-26, 2019.  Trampled by Turtles will be taking the stage as the lights go down Thursday night to kick the annual party off with a bang, while String Cheese Incident and Grammy award-winners The Travelin' McCourys will be the mainstage headliners for Friday and Saturday, respectively. Railroad Earth will close out DelFest 2019 on Sunday night, wrapping up yet another weekend full of world-class music at the Allegany County Fairgrounds. Spoleto Festival Announces Full Season

Festival General Director Nigel Redden announces the program for the 43rd annual Spoleto Festival USA, taking place May 24 through June 9, 2019. HEAL THE MUSIC Raises $300,000 for the Music Health Alliance

As the 2nd annual “Heal The Music Day” wraps for 2018, more than 170 members of the music community – songwriters, musicians, performers, artist managers, publishers, business managers, record labels, trade organizations and more – pledged a percentage of their single-day revenues to support their fellow musicians and peers in the industry in times of medical crisis. With $300,000 raised in support of Music Health Alliance, every dollar donated equals $30 in life-saving healthcare resources. Music Health Alliance's free services range from access to doctors and hospitals, medicine, health insurance and finding financial assistance during times of illness.

Country Music Association Makes Matching Contribution to 'Heal the Music Day'

With just over a week until the 2nd annual “Heal The Music Day,” held Friday, October 19, 2018, the Country Music Association has teamed with Music Health Alliance to offer a matching contribution for donations raised within the music industry. CMA will match dollar for dollar donations in support of “Heal The Music Day,” up to $100,000. Every dollar donated equals $30 in life-saving healthcare resources to Heal The Music.
