Singer-songwriter-guitarist Aoife O'Donovan - who founded and fronted the bluegrass band Crooked Still - is now a 'formidable folk-pop solo artist' (NPR). The guitar-strumming, feathery-voiced, soulful O'Donovan steps into The Eccles Center spotlight tonight, January 17. Concert starts at 7:30 p.m.

Singer-songwriter-guitarist Aoife O'Donovan – who founded and fronted the bluegrass band Crooked Still – is now a “formidable folk-pop solo artist” (NPR). The guitar-strumming, feathery-voiced, soulful O'Donovan steps into The Eccles Center spotlight on Saturday, January 17. Singer-songwriter and fiddler Sara Watkins, known for her work in the Grammy-winning band Nickel Creek and as a frequent guest on A Prairie Home Companion, brings her signature sound to Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre at 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 11.

During a nine year recording hiatus from his Grammy award winning band Nickel Creek, singer/songwriter/guitarist Sean Watkins released his third solo album Blinders On, teamed up with Switchfoot singer, Jon Foreman, to form the band Fiction Family, as well as co-founded the experimental supergroup Works Progress Administration (WPA). In addition, for the last decade Sean & his sister Sara Watkins (also from Nickel Creek) have hosted a monthly residency at the Hollywood club, Largo, for their popular music show, Watkins Family Hour, which has featured guests such as Fiona Apple, Jackson Browne, Booker T, Grant Lee Phillips, John C. Reily, among many others.
