Chicago Shakespeare Theater announced the cast and creative team for the highly anticipated world premiere of The Notebook, a new musical based on the bestselling novel by Nicholas Sparks that inspired the iconic film.

Today, TIME has announced the 2022 TIME100, an annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. Among those on this year's list are a number of stars from the world of theatre.

From Emmy®-winning executive producer Mike Gunton (Planet Earth II, Dynasties) and narrated by Emmy®-winning famed naturalist Sir David Attenborough (Seven Worlds, One Planet, Blue Planet II), the captivating and compelling natural history series Dynasties II (the sequel to Dynasties) is returning.

Yale Repertory Theatre will conclude its 2022 season with Between Two Knees. The play, written by the intertribal sketch comedy troupe The 1491s and directed by Eric Ting, is presented with Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Between Two Knees will be performed May 12–June 4 at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street).

This April, the César-nominated actor Camille Cottin will join the cast of the English National Opera’s (ENO) new production of The Handmaid’s Tale at the London Coliseum. Collaborating with a cast of world-class opera singers, Camille will be making her West End debut acting in her first opera.

Pasadena Playhouse begins performances of the West Coast premiere of Ann – written by and starring Holland Taylor and directed by Benjamin Endsley Klein March 22, with performances continuing through April 24.

Ariana DeBose took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the recent film adaptation of West Side Story. The film also won in the Best Film Editing category.

Disney and Pixar's new animated feature “Turning Red” comes to the big screen at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre as a Southern California exclusive during a limited one-week engagement March 11 through March 17.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards were held Sunday, Feb. 27 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The telecast aired on TNT and TBS. Among the big winners for the evening, taking home multiple awards, were CODA, Squid Game and Ted Lasso.
