FOR PETER PAN ON HER 70TH BIRTHDAY Brings Happy Thoughts Off-Broadway Tonight

Previews begin tonight, August 18, for the Playwrights Horizons New York premiere production of For Peter Pan on her 70th Birthday, a new play by two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominee Sarah Ruhl (Stage Kiss, Dead Man's Cell Phone at Playwrights; In the Next Room, or the vibrator play; The Clean House).

Dallas Theater Center to Host Community Conversation About MILLER, MISSISSIPPI

Dallas Theater Center will host a curated conversation featuring insights into the world-premiere play Miller, Mississippi on Aug. 21 at the Beckley-Saner Recreation Center, located at 114 W Hobson Ave., Dallas, Texas 75224. In a moderated panel discussion, Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company members Alex Organ and Liz Mikel will discuss their experiences, and how they have informed their approach to the characters they portray in Miller, Mississippi. Moderated by Amber Sims, this conversation will address advantage and what happens 'when tradition is sacred, and change is slow'. A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with food donated by Babe's Chicken Dinner House, followed by the conversation at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

EPAC on the Edge Announces THE WHALE

The Whale, written by playwright Samuel D. Hunter, and directed by Lydia Brubaker. EPAC Artistic Director Edward R Fernandez, will be featured in the role of Charlie. Supporting roles are played by Holly Andrew, Gabrielle Dina, Alexander P Bannon, and Cynthia Charles.

Dallas Theater Center Presents the World Premiere of MILLER, MISSISSIPPI

2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award® Recipient Dallas Theater Center presents the world premiere of Miller, Mississippi; a new play written by Boo Killebrew and directed by Lee Sunday Evans. Beginning with a Pay-What-You-Can performance on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m., the production runs through Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre Studio Theatre. Victory Gardens Theater, in collaboration with Alphawood Gallery, presents the reading series Resisting Injustice: Two Play Readings about the Incarceration of Japanese Americans in World War II, featuring Question 27, Question 28 and Hold These Truths as part of Alphawood Gallery's first original exhibition Then They Came for Me: Incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII and the Demise of Civil Liberties.
