An existential triptych of monologues slaps the audience in the face and expects them to apologise

The Royal Court Theatre has announced that it will present all of it, three short plays by Alistair McDowall (The Glow, X, Pomona), in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs from Tuesday 6 - Saturday 17 June, co-directed by Royal Court Artistic Director Vicky Featherstone and Royal Court Associate Director Sam Pritchard.

Alan Stacey has today announced that he will be stepping down as Executive Director of Headlong in March 2022 after six years with the company. During his tenure Stacey has helped bring some of Headlong's most critically acclaimed work to over 900,000 people in theatres across the UK.

Jeremy Herrin announced today that after 7 years as Artistic Director of Headlong he will be stepping down in 2020 to pursue a career as a freelance director. During the seven years Herrin has led the company it has experienced remarkable success with his own productions such as the ground-breaking The Nether which played at the Royal Court and in the West End; the multi-award-winning People, Places and Things by Duncan Macmillan which played at the National Theatre, on tour in the UK, in the West End and at St Ann's Warehouse; Jack Thorne and Stephen Warbeck's Junkyard on tour in the UK; James Graham's This House on tour in the UK and in the West End; and Graham's Olivier Award-Winning play Labour of Love in the West End.

The Royal Court Theatre announces A Year Of Work September 2019 - August 2020.

The Royal Court Theatre in partnership with the British Council announce new readings of work with writers based in China. This series of public readings titled New and Now: Plays from China will take place in The Site at the Royal Court Theatre from Tuesday 4 December 2018 to Thursday 6 December 2018.

Playwright Rory Mullarkey is back with another show at the Royal Court Theatre, following on from his 2014 production, The Wolf From the Door. Chloe Lamford and Sam Pritchard have collaborated on a piece that perplexes and entices. This was my first visit to The Site, (the exterior space located across from the stage door), and I was amazed by its capability to totally transport you from the streets of Sloane Square, into the world of an unnamed American city, where strange things are occurring.
