Good Theater Presents HOMER BOUND

Good Theater will present the world premiere of Homer Bound by Maine playwright Karmo Sanders, opening November 7 and playing through December 2. Set on a small fishing island off the Maine coast, Homer Bound deals with a shotgun wedding. Who will arrive first - the minister or the baby?

Good Theater is celebrating its 17th season with the company's biggest season ever.  The professional company in residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, 76 Congress Street, Portland, begins with the Tony Award winning The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, based on the best-selling novel of the same name, by Mark Haddon and adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens.   The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time makes its Portland premiere on October 3, running four weeks through October 28.

Theater at Monmouth's 2018 Summer Repertory Season continues with Frederick Knott's classic Dial "M" for Murder. The run starts on Thursday, July 26th, at 7:30 p.m. and continues throughout the season including matinee and evening performances on both weekdays and weekends. This gripping noir thriller, famously brought to the big screen by Alfred Hitchcock, transforms the 'whodunnit' into the 'will they get away with it?' Is it possible to commit the perfect crime, or does justice always prevail?

Portland Stage Announces 2018 Little Festival Of The Unexpected

Portland Stage will celebrate 29 years of nurturing playwrights and new work from May 8-12, 2018 during the Little Festival of the Unexpected. Little Festival is a week-long event dedicated to public readings of new American plays. Each May three playwrights are in residence at Portland Stage throughout the week developing their scripts with input from actors, dramaturgs, and directors.
