Dramatic Repertory Company (Keith Powell Beyland, Artistic Director) introduces our new Board of Directors. We are excited to welcome these Portland - based artists, each of whom have a strong history with the company, to help guide DRC's future.

Bess Welden (President) is an actor, playwright, theater educator, director, and independent producer. She has appeared in DRC's productions of Swimming in the Shallows, A Bright New Boise, and Gidion's Knot. Bess is delighted and honored to be part of the team charting a path forward for the company, supporting its bold mission to make top - quality, thought - provoking theater in our community.

Meg A. Anderson is a scenic designer, sculptor, teaching artist, and bread baker based in Portland, ME. Trained on the west coast, Meg currently works full time as a the props maker at Portland Stage Company. Meg is a co - founder and active member of Tandem Theatre Collective and is beyond joyful to join the new board of directors for the Dramatic Repertory Company.

Peter Brown is a local actor / director / theater educator. He is the director of the Portland High School Shakespeare Club, former Associate Artistic Director of Mad Horse Theatre Company, and an Affiliate Artist at Portland Stage Company, where he served 10 years as Production Manager. Peter has performed in DRC's productions of Equivocation, Swimming In The Shallows and Life During Wartime, and co - directed Venus In Fur. He lives in Portland with his husband R.J. and their son Crosby. Primarily an Actor's Equity stage manager (Berkshire Theatre Group, Portland Stage),

Marjorie Gallant has also worked with arts organizations as Director of Marketing and Communications (Portland Symphony Orchestra), Development Associate (Portland Stage), Production Manager (Portland Stage), and as a stage management mentor to students in the Department of Theater and Dance at Colby College. Marjorie has a B.A. in Theater from Georgia College and State University. Sally Wood is an an actor, fight choreographer, teaching artist and director. She recently directed Callie Kimball's Sofonisba for DRC, and can't wait to see what Keith dreams up next.

Sally has been a fan of the DRC for a long time and is thrilled to be working with such great artists.
